ZachTheZip Posted September 5, 2009 Author Report Posted September 5, 2009 Comically bad playcalling on offense. How's the defense supposed to do anything when they're constantly working with a short field? Quote
Zip Watcher Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Comically bad playcalling on offense. How's the defense supposed to do anything when they're constantly working with a short field?Interesting thought. Can't imagine that the no-huddle is helping the D at this point. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Congrats Penn State. Your front seven was easily as good as advertised. Our O-Line was overmatched, although Montgomery's play calling didn't help. That about sums it up for me. Quote
WinZip Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Congrats PSU, it should be a successful season for you all. I didn't expect it but you're as good as advertised. Hopefully we can find a few offensive plays that pick up positive yardage. Quote
JIMPSU Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Nice game Zips. Hope you came out of it injury free. Good luck the rest of the way! Quote
cms133@uakron.edu Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Play by play, game by game. We need to learn from this game and look at our strengths and weaknesses. I was upset too but there were somethings that were great in this game. Looking forward, the first game of this season was the toughest and our next game is against a D-1AA team. I think this might play to our advantage if we can do things we didn't in Happy Valley in our first game against the Bears. It might prove to be a very valuable experience for the team. Don't underestimate Morgan State and play every down like we're fighting for our lives, for ever team after. GO ZIPS!! Quote
InTheZone Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I'm going to withold judgement until we get into MAC play but one thought kept going through my head throughout the afternoon.... even with all the facilities advances, Akron football is playing on the same level it was 6 years ago, hmmm.... I've been thinking the same thing. Different coach, different bunch of losers playing. hmmmmm. Maybe it's the losers playing. I'll reserve judgement too though. I hate to call people losers until they prove they are actually losers as our D-IA history shows. Quote
