Winking Lizard food is EXCELLENT. Im definitely going to try to be there for this. I wanna get a tour of the new digs, and since ill be in akron that day anyways, it'll work out perfectly. Ill take my DSLR too so I can snag some good pictures of the place.

I wish I could go, but I've been there twice and can't justify two hours on the road to see the unfinished product. Wouldn't It be nice if they had a full blown tour for the ZNO members....I would really like to see that press tower in person!

Bring your digital cameras and snap some great photos for those of us, who are no longer in the Akron area... The stadium looks done from the webcams - assuming the webcam won't show much more due to resolution...

Hey -- everytime I try the webcams (from the Stadium thread link), I get a No longer working message. Is there another site URL someone can post? Mahalos from da isles! B)

Everytime we get an update, season ticket sales are higher. Inititally it was 3500 then an update came out a month later and it was 4200 then a couple of weeks ago 4500. I am hoping after Aug 3rd we are at 5K. Good idea to have another open house. Season ticket sales will be about 4 times higher than at the Rubber Bowl and be more expensive. New stadium or not, increasing season ticket sales by a factor of 4 is very good. Many times we including me pick on the athletic dept for marketing, sales etc and rightfully so. Here I feel good about the end result. And I just got 3 game package ads in the mail today. If they could get a bump up from that which I think they will, we should have a good chance to average 20K this year

Wish I could make the journey, but I can't. I will try to be there in spirit. So if your girl friend or wife attends with you and claims something just grabbed her butt, you will know I made it.
We should be watching our behinds with you around

I will be there with my DSLR as well.I will be participating in the punt, pass, and kick competition as well. I think I'm more excited for that =P since I know I can kick a 40 yard field goal. haha

Still stuck at work. Envy is not a strong enough word to describe what I'm feeling right now. 5 minutes away, and i can't be there. Time to break out that teleportation technology they're hiding underneath Ayer hall. :beam:

Some info on the Info:Exchange Street will be closed from Spicer to Union on gamedays. No seating will be allowed on the grass hill. The grade is too steep.Tailgating will be allowed in all lots, but no grills in the decks. Alcohol has to be in a plastic cup, but other than that, is not a problem.High school games will be limited to major events. They want to emphasize that the Info is the University of Akron's stadium, not the city's.Seeing on camera or a webcam is in no way comperable to seeing it in person. The North Endzone facility (no sponsors yet) will have locker rooms for Soccer, Baseball, and Softball. The roof is rentable on gamedays.

Oh my God! Some of the fans have gone berserk and are ripping layers of roofing material off the elevator/stairway covers behind the north endzone! Oh the humanity.
No big deal. They still have 48 more layers to go.

Basically the same format as at the RB. the University also wants to highlight and make use of the facility as much as possible. It is and will continue to be a major recruiting tool.

On a more serious note --Thanks to all @ UA for arranging this event. Very well done. Other than not getting to tour the Level 5 and Level 6 "Party Floors," and maybe roping off the fresh concrete so people didn't walk through it, I can't think of a thing that could have been done better!:thumb:
