w00t Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Ohio St. knocked off Michigan St. over the weekend, so now we get to do the honors of handing them their first loss. I'll go with 3-0, despite OSU packing the box and playing for a tie.A few other random notes from last week's games...* The ACC keeps beating up on itself, and I think that if the season ended today, it would be UA and three ACC teams that got the top four seeds (Maryland, UNC, and Wake Forest). It's tough to say with no RPI to look at yet, but I would think we'd be a strong choice for the top overall seed at this point. * Our only ACC opponent, Virginia Tech, has started 2-0 in conference play. A decisive win when we travel to Blacksburg in a couple of weeks would go a long way towards further padding our tournament credentials.*All of the other ten or so schools that I would give a legitimate chance to win the tournament this year have looked very beatable. The best sides have been posting one-goal and overtime wins against far inferior teams (UCLA beating San Deigo 2-1, Maryland beating St. Peter's 1-0, Wake Forest edging Elon 2-1, and UNC in a 2-1 OT victory over East Tennessee St. just this past week for example).* The best games for the MAC so far have been NIU's tie with North Carolina and Hartwick's win this past week over #14 Dartmouth. Other than that, the other teams from our conference haven't really done us any favors. Quote

Captain Kangaroo Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Considering the rain, and subsequent field conditions, should I expect a 2pm announcement that the match has been moved to Columbus? Quote

g-mann17 Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Considering the rain, and subsequent field conditions, should I expect a 2pm announcement that the match has been moved to Columbus? No, the NCAA said that because of field conditions the game would have to be played here...It was added in this years rules, it is our second "home field" each team has one, but most everyone's is actually near their University except us. Luck of the draw they said. Quote

MDZip Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 They are signaling, in order for them, Shots on Goal, Halftime, Number of Assists, Number of Goals. w00t wins on the score, 3-0, but from now on to increase the degree of difficutly, we need the names of the goal scorers too. And the ladies I posted from tOSU were pretty close too. They were only off by one shot on goal and had the rest perfect. So some people at tOSU are smart. Quote
meatwad Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 I'll go with 3-0, despite OSU packing the box and playing for a tie.Umm, good call.... you pretty much nailed every facet of this sentence. Quote
