Dr Z Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 With everything Zip football fans have dealt with recently, I'm considering starting the 'Seperated at Birth' thread to bring some sort of light hearted humor to The Nation. We nixed it because some thought it was a jinx. Can we really jinx this team? Maybe it will reverse the jinx. The poll will stay open until Monday. Majority rules. Feel free to comment.
johnnyzip84 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 I think it was after the Cincy loss when the decision was made to nix these for the rest of 2008. But if you think about it, the UC game was the closest the football Zips have come to really breaking through recently.
MDZip Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Hard to do much worse - it is a little display of hubris to think that anything we do on this site actually affects a game anyway. Do it!
Dr Z Posted October 1, 2009 Author Report Posted October 1, 2009 lol someone please start it I will on Monday if the majority votes "yes"
GoZips88 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 lol someone please start it I will on Monday if the majority votes "yes"Polls don't close until Monday but with 22 votes in and 100% of them voting 'YES,' ZipsNation should pronounce 'Separated at Birth' a winner and open the posting immediately!

GP1 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Just do it for crying out loud. I never post on one of these threads, but they are always funny to look at.

zipseuph Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 you can igore one of those no votes. I just wanted to make things interesting
Dave in Green Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 We could use some levity. There's all kinds of levity on ZN. It's just masquerading as serious commentary.
ZachTheZip Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 If somebody's worried about jinxing the team, they haven't been following the Zips the past two weeks. I say do it. We could use the laughs.
Captain Kangaroo Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 The vote tally is looking eerily similar to the Zips/CMU halftime score. Coincidence?
g-mann17 Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 The vote tally is looking eerily similar to the Zips/CMU halftime score. Coincidence? LeFevour's rigging the vote?
Captain Kangaroo Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 I invoke one rule -- If you think that a player with dreadlocks looks like Whoopie Goldberg...so does everyone else. NO WHOOPIE GOLDBERG PICS! Be more creative!I have yet to decide whether or not to include Emmanuel "Webster" Lewis in this edict too.

Be more creative!I have yet to decide whether or not to include Emmanuel "Webster" Lewis in this edict too.I'm sorry, Cap, but this rule needs amendments.Very often deadlocked players evoke the Predator pic. There are several others that crop up nearly every time we do this (and I'm also guilty of it) and I can't think of them all at the moment, but another one of them is Sloth (goonies)
Dr Z Posted October 2, 2009 Author Report Posted October 2, 2009 Lol this needs to be started...Monday.
