Goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!Nan!!!
Don't know if that's what you were going for, but I definitely heard the Sam and Dave tune "Soul Man" in there. :) Think how strange it is that we're disappointed that we gave up a goal to Michigan (on their turf!). Even the tOSU supporters should be happy about how this is going.

Actually, the closest large lake to Ann Arbor is St. Clair & the nearest Great Lake is Erie, Lk. Mi is waaaaaaay to the west, but we did kick their butts to L. Mich. :D We gave up a goal the 3rd of the season, let's consider what an achievement that is: FAAAAAANNNNNtastic!

Attendance was 671. How many were Zips fans?
Quick summary: Season goal total 37 Akron 3 Opponents. Hate those dirty sheets. ;) And re: the quick goals - Doesn't the clock stop after a goal until the restart in college? I remember hearing that the record fastest goal in women's NCAA is 7 seconds by UNC. But I think that is from the game start. That should warn the keeper not to come off the line! :D

I'm terrible at estimating...approx. 50? Kudos to all who were there, and especially to the AK Rowdies who were there. (def louder than all of the UM fans)Well worth the drive and the 8 hours of vacation from work; great weather, great fans; great game.

Nagbe's goals were scored 31 seconds apart. Hope there is some video somewhere on that.
that's the second time this year we have scored 2 goals that close in time. How the heck is the ball making it out of the goal to midfield and back into the goal in such a short period of time?! It seems almost impossible.
It was crazy, they pretty much kicked the ball down towards our goal and he just took off. Every time we had a shot on goal their goalie would kick the ball down to our goalie who would just roll it out. Usually in about 15-20 second the ball was already back at their end. Akron Attendance: I would agree with the around 50. Glad to see the AD make the trip. There were about 18 Rowdies who ditched...err I mean had no class scheduled. :D Most of the attendance number were middle schoolers, it was "middle school day" or something like that. Their student section was pretty nonexistent...or they were just sitting down not cheering.

I concur with the estimate of 50 Zip fans in attendance. That was the first away game for my wife and me, and it sure was entertaining. The talent and skill that was displayed yesterday was amazing. I'll echo the comment that it was fun to see the AD there and mixing it up with the Rowdies (maybe he was also there to check out the new grandstand Michigan is building for their soccer programs?). The funniest thing to me, was when a Michigan official came over to the Rowdies to explain that they can taunt players as long as they don't use real first names, last names, or numbers  Well there was this 5 or 6 year old boy among the Michigan contingent who took it upon himself to challenge the Rowdies at their game. By the end of the match I heard him shout "Zemanski!" filled with as much disdain as he could muster. As was pointed out by the Rowdies, that kid had more fight than the rest of the Michigan fans combined :thumb: w00t, as we were leaving I realized that the Michigan-Indiana game I watched on CBS College Sports a few weeks back was probably played on the "main pitch" as the scoreboard there still had Indiana listed. Maybe they rotate games to save the grass (which was in amazing shape, by the way)?

Sounds reasonable to me. When they finish the new field it looks like it will be a very nice place to win a road game. :D

Ah yes ... Amerika the Beautiful.
Reminds me of an instance behind a hoop at the JAR. UA handed out those long balloons to wave and distract the opposing free-throw shooters. The guy next to me starting making squeaking noises with his balloon, squeezing it. The ref walked over and said "You do that one more time and I'll kick you out."

My understanding is that the AD and others were there to check out the plans for the new facility. As far as the field we were on, according to the UM athletics site, the remainder of the games, starting with the Akron game, will not be played on the west practice field as they are going to begin construction of the new facility on the "competition field".

Very good! The brickwork shown on the rendering posted near the field looked really nice. If something like this were to be adopted at UA, it would dovetail nicely with the look of the Info and the overall campus IMHO.
