Can I get a Hoo-Ya!

We have a good defense, good enough to win this conference with a offense that can score 20+ points. Its definitely something to build on. UA may not go to a bowl, but they have another opportunity next week to ruin Temple's season. If they play how they did tonight, they can get a few more W's.

We have a good defense
We give up 377 yards of passing from a freshman from Ken+, and we have a good defense?!? Not my idea of good D. I'll say for once I seen the staff try to put some pressure on the QB, but that's as far as I'm willing to go.

A frustrating thing for me watching the game yesterday was we don't even mix up our coverage when we rush three. We appeared to play all zone behind the line. How about some man-to-man mixed in with the zone. A football team can only send five guys out for a pass. With eight defenders, surely some could play man-to-man with a last line of defense zone behind it. Our pass coverage is too passive.....well, our entire defensive scheme is too passive so why should I be surprised?

actually when Can't went with 5 wides it was a lot of man...end of the game it was a lot of man... db's got beat deep a couple of times but keith couldn't hit them,thankfully...he seemed to have more trouble against the zone which isn't surprising...the pass rush is still weak...but the D came up big when it had to...

We gave up 377 yards because the only thing Can't did all day was pass. Keith was 30/59 on the day. A 50.8 completion percentage for 12.6 ypc. Nicely was 19/34, good for a 55.9% completion percentage and 13.7 ypc. They put up so many passing yards for two reasons. The first is that they were playing from behind almost all game. The second is that they couldn't run the ball at all. It's easy to rack up huge yards through the air when you take almost 60 pass attempts.
