where's the wake message board?
http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=192&f=1118
Gee. The Wake fans seem pretty confident. :P UVa is a solid fave in the first game. BTW -- that MLS GA (Generation Adidas) list is good, but should include the name "Blair Gavin" as one of the top defensive mids in the NCAA. IOW, add him to the list of "could be gones" for the year 2010. I can only imagine how good the team could be if everyone stays (I'm talking players now...) :D

Here's what little the Tar Heels fans are saying at this point:http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=78&f=3778&t=5255458
Amazingly -- I've found the most prolific Tar Heel poster in my own neighborhood. Let's see if he/she's willing to put a frosty Long Board porter on the outcome of the contest Friday. :Phttp://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=78&f=3778&t=5255458 Yes, Virginia and Carolina. Akron has a soccer team!

After sifting through their in-game thread, I'd say that most 'Heel fans gave the Zips their just due. That's a lot more than I can say for UNC forward Shula. I loved his "Akron's going to the a taste of ACC soccer" pre-game trash talk :lol:UNC In-Game Thread
Final entry on that board for that thread:RE: GAME THREAD: Akron 5, UNC 4 - National Semi Game 2 - PKs --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nice run for men's soccer, I was calling for Elmar's head back in the 90s but he turned it around this decade. Reality is Akron will lose their coach next season to the MLS or a bigger school, then we'll have another shot.See you next year! :)

I hate UNC.

Believe it or not, I can find NO discussion of #2 North Carolina's battle with the nation's top-ranked college soccer power coming up in just three days at Chapel Hill. Or is it in Cary? I presume our fans know -- and may compete along with our team versus Tar Heel fans. If there ARE any real football fans in Tar Heel country, they're welcome to discuss the match, politely, here on Zipsnation.org. ;)

I don't think anybody at UNC will be embarrassed if there's not a big crowd to see a soccer game during Labor Day weekend.

Yeah, if that game was in Akron there would be people on top of the first merit building trying to get a peak at the pitch. Labor Day weekend means you should expect to have fans there.
