ZippyforPresident
Malone 2-6 (NAIA)AKRON 4-3 (Zips lead the series 4-0 all time)I know it's the gimme game of the season, but it appears that The Pioneers did put up some game against the Div. II defending champion Findlay Oilers (36-0 in the 08'-09' season (majorly impressive feat by the way)) suffering a 70-81 loss.. Findlay did knock off the university of ohio state (a division I program) 70-68 two years ago. Can't blame a guy for trying to give a game a little bit more hype than there would be otherwise...My prediction:Zips 86 Malone College Pioneers 48It will be fun to see Eric Coblentz launching a few threes against his old team. Good luck to Malone in the NAIA..Also, Happy (early) Birthday to the big fella! My prediction is that the big man gets his first collegiate triple double tonight (points, rebounds, blocks) if Coach Dambrot lets him stay in for a while...And if not... He'll get it next game! The big man is having a good season and it's just going to get better from here the more he works with Coach D and the rest of the staff. Can't wait till march, but enjoying every second in between..- Z4P

Hilltopper
Awfully nice of Dambrot to schedule a scrimmage during College Cup Weekend! Zips 90-47 After more than a week off, this will be a nice little tune up. We will need to shake off some rust. Zips by 18.
RootforRoo44
I will be representing the Rowdies with maybe 3 or 4 others before we head down to Cary tonight. So considering the expected weak student support i only see the Zips winning 88-39. It will be close.

Captain Kangaroo
Malone shocks the world as Coblenz goes off for 53 points. He glares at Dambrot after the game , grabs the announcer's mic and breaks into a Shaq-to-Kobe type freestyle rap over the JAR PA system.Malone brings 4900 fans to the game. That brings attendance to a 5,300...nearly a sell out.In the post game show, Dambrot refuses to talk about anything but the soccer team further angering ZipsLive host Bill Morgan.Only one concession window is open. The halftime concessions line out the JAR door, down Brown Street, stopping just short of Pints. The comment "I think the Hands Across America line was smaller?" is overheard.
