InTheZone Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 I'm going to stick with my original prediction from April on this one: Zips 17 Huskies 31 That's not to say that I don't have full faith in my Zips, because I certainly do. We've got a great chance to go into this game and make a huge statement in the MAC, and we've definately got what we need to do it. The Huskies have the advantage in talent and experience though and that's hard to overcome. I'll be there cheering my heart out for the Zips and hoping for the upset. Quote
Ryno aka Menace Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 Man I am gonna say this is gonna be a close game because the Zips will be highly pumped up with it being the first home game, the new whistle, the GMAC being their, and I have faith that JB will watch the Michigan film and exploit their weaknesses, Ball control and keep the ball out of Wolfe's hands by keeping him on the sidelines. I think it will be a close game, being a former football player I refuse to say the Zips will lose so I will just say I am praying for the upset!! Quote
Zips fan Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 I will predict that the Zips win! I think that the Zips are ready to compete with any MAC school on our home field. The Zips will have do remove mistakes and take care of the football. Zips 24 NIU 21 Quote

zipboy Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 Tight ball game, I go with the Zips. Akron wins 28-23. Quote
Zipsrifle Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 Boy, It will be a tough game. Right now, my pre-season predictions are worthless. This team has come out WAY stronger than I thought. I think NIU being favored to win is justified. Realistically, NIU is stronger, but the Zips have something intangible this year that has me very excited. I'm going to go against what I realistically think should happen and go with my Gut. Zips 38, NIU 35. Quote
Z-P Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 Ditto on the flowers to UAM on the Rowdies! How's this predic............... 38-38 at the end of the 4th QTR..............we go to OT.............only about 3,000 fans left in the stands because we were down by two scores (FG + TD) inside of 3 minutes and the unfaithful bailed................Frenchie is horse, so Cap'n has to go to the booth to help Stams out...........he (the Cap'n) carries up his remaining 2 brewskies he smuggled into the bowl inside one of last season's french Fryes and helps Steve get his voice back........as you look outside the bowl, you can see some of the headlites turning around and coming back toward the bowl.............the Coors Beer Garden lights go on again (they'd been turned off for heaven knows what reason at the start of the 4th Qtr)............. Anyway, we go into OT and NIU wins the flip and takes the ball...........they ram it down our throats and score.............then it's our turn............. (finish the story) Quote
dawgsgonewild Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Huskies score six and convert in OT . Zips score but fail on two point conversion in OT. Final: 47-46 HUSKIES ! Quote
AK-Zips Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 who goes for a two point conversion in OT when all you need is the xtra point, especially at home..... jackass Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Zips ALWAYS play well at home vs top-flight competition. Today is no different...except for the fact that we have a defense to stop those last-minute drives. Zips 31 NIU 30 Off to the tailgate! Quote
