The Hip Zip Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 We get a shot at revenge !Looking back to their victory here, it was not their their big 3( Bowdry, Dobbins,Medlock) that beat us. It was a guy named Higgins that is usually pretty quiet. He got 17 at the JAR including a late 3 that sealed the deal. We have to make sure that Mr. Higgins does not have room to breathe on Thursday. I think that the Zips will recover and win going away, elevating everybody's spirits as they do so. Quote

Either way it is revenge as a motivator for the 2nd round game. Eastern rallied from a 14 pt deficit to defeat NIU by 6 before a home (crowd?)gathering of 675. Interesting that both mens and lady Zips drew Eastern in 2nd round matchups. Quote
RowdyZip Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 Any word on TV for the quarterfinals? I'm going to try and get out of work early, but it'd be easier to trek across the street to Barley House to catch the game. Quote

Not 100% sure though. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 Having started a new job at the beginning of the year, I'll have to not only miss the game at the Q but I won't even be able to watch it (assuming it's on TV) Oh well, let's hope the Zips begin a successful navigation of the Michigan directionals of Thursday afternoon and then I can join in the on-site revelry on Friday. Go Zips!!! This season is NOT over until it's over Quote

Not 100% sure though.Just checked TVGuide.com and they show the Metro Atlantic quarterfinal at noon on Thursday. STO has Padres/Indians minor league baseball. Gets no better at 7PM ... Blue Jacket hockey on FSN and HS sports/Bucknut Blitz/Bowling on STO. I'm able to make the afternoon games but don't intend to stay for the evening matches. Bummer! Channelsurfing.net I wonder? Quote
