The word is that the Zips are getting a transfer from the Big Ten. A big defensive player who has had a recent run-in with the law. He'll sit out this season and play for one year in 2011.

A risky move by a new head coach. It echoes Brookhart's old habit as a brand-new coach of going after talent without regards to the possible consequences.

He was in trouble with the law? What did he do? The above link suggests his teammates were upset w/ him?

Oren Wilson sounds like trouble to me.

Sounds like a move Brookhart would have made early in his career, doesn't it? It's a reason i wanted a coach who already ahd experience as a HC at some level, so we don't have to suffer through another new coach learning from their first-time mistakes.

We're hemorrhaging recruits to Syracuse. Maybe Coach I needs to re-think his strategy of offering every single D-I prospect in the state of NY and focus on somewhere else.
