ZachTheZip
Two more offers: OLB Donnie Simmons DE Joel Heath Starting to wonder when our next verbal will be. Ianello has been called the best recruiter in the country by a few sports writers. But he still hasn't had much time to come up with a recruiting pitch for Akron, not to mention that he's never had to recruit for a program that didn't sell itself before. Hopefully it works out, but time will tell.

ZachTheZip
Three more offers: QB Reilly O'Toole OLB Devonte Snyder MLB Desmond Morgan I have noticed how Coach I has gone from recruiting four-star players to three-star players and now he's going after two-star players. Has reality set in? Did he figure out that you can't bring in top talent when the program doesn't sell itself like at ND? He actually has to work hard to recruit players now. Hopefully he overcomes this culture-shock quickly.

I believe he coached the secondary? He's an assistant at StV/M currently. Edit: As I thought about it, I became pretty sure that the older Mark Murphy coached under Owens. I found an old program (Va Tech one at that!) that shows Mark joining the Akron staff in 1995 coaching DBs.
