If I had to guess before the season was over, I'd say there was no chance of him becoming a pro. But, many times when players from less-known leagues get a chance to showcase their talents in high profile, televised games, they get a huge boost. Is it enough for him to get drafter by the NBA? It's certainly a possibility.

Good luck to Mr. Bassett. I hope he's getting good advice from someone and doesn't just have an inflated ego from reading the Georgetown clippings.

Only 60 players are drafted into the NBA each year. The latest 2010 mock draft on nbadraft.net projects only 10 pure point or point/shooting guards being selected in this year's draft. That's a pretty elite group to try to crack for someone who has not showed consistent excellence this season.

Bassett's season shooting percentages of 39% from the field and 34.6% on 3s are mediocre. In fact, his national rankings in most measurable categories are pretty low, especially for playing in a middle-of-the-road conference.

well Ohio fans probably think he'd be the 1st overall pick...but honestly I don't think he will even get drafted. I see him playing in Europe or something.

+1. But hey, what a great life though, huh?! Travelling Europe. Playing basketball. Getting paid very decent money. Sounds posh to me!

I'd rather live in the U.S., he'd be lucky if he could sign a D-League or ABA contract instead...I mean Europe would be good for a Griswald vacation, but to live there? I couldn't handle that. New language, have to make new friends, no family...but some pretty fine women!

I wish him luck
He's going to need it. He's really not lighting up the summer league.

He would have been a lot better off staying at OU and getting an education and a degree. He was able to showcase his talent nationally twice during the tourney but still, getting into the NBA is a REALLY tough thing to do. Good luck to you Armon. And no, the Zips won't miss you, although it would have been far better to beat OU with you this season than without you. We want the best the MAC has to offer. Guess we'll just have to settle for DJ Cooper and his lingerie...

Go Zips!

...what's new pussycats?...
