Apparently there was a little bit of bad blood between Narduzzi and Franklin when he was coaching Penn State. Pitt claimed Penn State wouldn't schedule them, Franklin apparently responded that being Pitt would be like beating Akron. F you Franklin, glad you lost your job and now I can root against Virginia Tech wholeheartedly. Edit: I researched it and it wasn't as bad as I thought. It was from 2017 and they had just beaten Akron the week before they beat Pitt. He had said if Pitt had won it would have been like their Super bowl, for them it was just like beating Akron.
