InTheZone Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 ... by a bad Washington team. Washington has a QB, and that's about it. A sorry team put 41 on Syracuse. We couldn't even find the endzone against them. It's gonna be a long season (in case you weren't already aware...) Quote

No that's not the logic being employed at all there buddy. Syracuse is not good on defense. And we couldn't score on them. Simple as that. Quote

johnnyzip84 Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 'Cuse was in position to at least tie the game right before halftime when Nassib fumbled. That turned out to be the ball game. Isn't it a little premature to call Washington a "bad team" based on (presumably) a 6 point loss at BYU? Edit: check that.....just saw BYU lost big to Air Force.....perhaps ITZ has a point. Quote

Washington was picked around 4/5 in most rags in the PAC 10. I will concern myself more with how we do against the remaining opponents on our schedule vs. putting too much stock in SU at UW. If this then that stuff is just a time waster, especially when you are talking about 2 games. Quote

I'm just going off the fact that they haven't had a winning season in god knows how many years, even in 3 years with Locker. Maybe this is the year they turn the corner, but losing to BYU to open the season doesn't say much. Quote

I thought the Huskies were expected to be better, but the big BYU loss to Air Force doesn't make Washington's loss to BYU look very good I must admit. Quote
Dr Z Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Jake Locker is a beast 4 tds and 289 yards passingPossibly wearing an orange helmet next year. The next Great Pumpkin. Quote
skip-zip Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 I was wondering when someone would mention this game. I'm not a big fan of using individual games to make comparisons. But, to see that the Syracuse defense gave up 41 points and 460+ yards of offense just a week after leaving Akron is pretty disheartening if you're a Zips fan. Quote

GP1 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Do we need proof that we're bad? Ask me after the season. I'm still holding out hope (hope isn't proof though) that the MAC is as bad as I believe it to be and if we can get past three BCS teams and the GW disaster, we might be able to turn the season around. We did in 2004. We are bad right now, but how bad will be answered at the end of the season. Quote

RACER Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 gp i hope your right.we need to improve these next two games.the next two teams we play will be alott better than anyone in the mac.hopefully we will come out of these games with no major injuries.it will be a big test the next two games.i do agree with gp the mac is terrible.we will have chances to win games.these guys need to play hard, and not commit penalites.they need to take care of the football.the coaches need to establish a running game if possible. if we can't run the ball with some success we will be in trouble.the defense has not shown alott in the first two games. if they are on the field alott i just don't see them stopping these next two teams.
