zip37 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Is there a way to keep tabs on the match? Quote
bigzipguy Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Cleveland State athletic web site has a gametracker link , if you look at their men's soccer schedule. Quote

bigzipguy Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 0-0 at the half. Zips just not playing well , AGAIN. Not to take anything away from Cleve St. Quote
akzipper Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Who let Jon Jankowski do play by play for this game? haha I can't even listen to this guy anymore. I never knew our goalie's last name was Miyas, and #10 is Anthony Amwong...but hey at least he pronounced Kitchen right Quote
tbozeglav Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 goal CSU with 11:30 to go. We don't look good. Quote
tbozeglav Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 another goal CSU. Im turning the feed off. I can't watch. Quote
akzipper Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 I guess there's no more offsides in soccer? the zips need to at least try here, Cleveland State is terrible....shouldn't even be close Quote
bUAkronG Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 wow. why can't we beat Ohio teams? Quote
tbozeglav Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 the real question is this: WHY are we having these problems this late in the season? Our passing has been looking poor. Our sets are constantly getting broken up. I hope this is much more of a wake-up call than WMU and Creighton. Quote
skip-zip Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Were we cursed by getting some major TV time on the Cleveland news yesterday???? Quote
ZachTheZip Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 We were cursed by our players' own egos. They thought they could stroll in, goof around, and come away with a win even with the gigantic target on their back. You can't just turn it on and off, like the team thought they could do. Hard work and intensity is a habit, just like being lazy. You give it everything whether you're playing a top-10 team or the community college the next town over. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Wow. How profoundly disappointing. I'd rather lose to anyone in the country rather than Cleveland State. Now I absolutely guarantee you the rat-bastards Cleveland media will be all over this story. Screw you, Cleveland. At least LeBron kicked you to the curb. We still have that going for us. Quote
tbozeglav Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/in...ks_no_1_ak.html Akron coach Caleb Porter did not make himself available for comment after the game, as the Zips went straight to the bus. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 CSU is only 8-9!!! They have to be the weakest team on our schedule, no? Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Can't believe only one person has mentioned this but then i realized that a majority of the Akron fans were midfield and over away from the play. That guy was MASSIVELY offsides on that goal. The play was directly right in front of me as i was on the field at about the 15 yard line when he broke free about 5 feet at least in front of Valentin. Just disgusting how one subjective call can take a game from us. Granted we were playing terrible but we finally had turned it on and right then, BAM. On another note, two sides of the spectrum in class today: 1) A CSU player went down with a cramp and Zarek Valentin went up and started stretching him right away until the trainer could make it on the field....very classy. 2) At the conclusion of the game the Vikings goalie (wearing all pink, not the breast cancer awareness pink but HOT pink) ran up to our players bench and gave the entire team the bird before joining his team at mid field. Just CLASSLESS. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 CSU is only 8-9!!! They have to be the weakest team on our schedule, no? Sadly , not even close: CSU is 148 in RPI, Hartwick is 194. (out of 204 teams) Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Words cannot describe how pissed, disappointed, and absolutely embarrassed I am after today. Quote
zip37 Posted October 31, 2010 Author Report Posted October 31, 2010 When you allow an inferior team to stick around, they begin to believe they are better than they are, then add an incompetient official = upset. Quote
