Quickzips Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Alright, someone has to do it, might as well be me. Time to get a prediction thread rolling. We all know this is going to be a laugher. The game will probably be well out of hand by halftime. Milliken is a D-III team with no size to speak of and no chance to win this game. The Big Blue only boast two players over 6'6" (a 6'6" Senior Center and a 6'7" Freshman Forward). Their backcourt is even smaller than the '09-'10 Zips with four players under 6'0". The Zips should have no problem with this one. I look for a similar kind of game to the exhibition with John Carroll with the Zips establishing their frontcourt dominance early and wearing Milliken down, then burrying the Big Blue with the 3 ball as the game goes along. Zips: 92 Big Blue: 45 Quote
RowdyZip Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Chalupa Part Deux. Zips 102 Pelican 44 Quote
skip-zip Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Difficult for me to see any way this can end up within 50 points Zips 108 Billikens (sorry, Milliken) 41 Quote
Akron1 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 My predictions: Zips win big. Athletic Department hands out free GA's at the soccer match and the basketball game get 5,000 for opening night! The atmosphere is great at the JAR and we all post what a great job the Athletic Department is doing to promote the men's basketball team. Quote
ZZZips Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 The Zips classify this game as the first "Regular" season game. Millikin classifies it an "Exhibition" game. Can each school classify it differently? The following is lifted today from their athletic website: Men's Basketball 11/12/10 @ 7:30 PM University of Akron (Exhibition) Akron, Ohio Quote
tpsjugglerdude Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Zips 99 Milikin 51 Zippy with a triple double in the second half alone. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Is this like The Price is Right? Predict the Zips score without going over? I call 118. Millikin scores 38, most of that in the late second half after we send out the freshmen and walk-ons. Quote

zippyfan34 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 I'm guessing Milikin won't be playing the up and down style that JC tried to play. I say Zips 87 - Milikin - 44. Quote
g-mann17 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 We'll get out big, they will close and tie us, force us to OT and someone will miss an extra point, and we will lose on Millikin's next score. No, seriously, I expect everyone to have double digit points and we will be lookingat 110 - 50 Quote
zippy_ua_00 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 any links to this game as im at work and cant go or listen on the radio. Quote

With their lack of height Zeke could score 50 if they want to play it that way. Because a 6.6 guy is NOT going to stop Zeke from dunking an Alley Oop on every play. Quote
