Quickzips Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Nate Linhart is listed on tonights roster for the NBA D-League's Erie Bayhawks opener. Bayhawks draftpick Jimmy Conyers is not as he was cut on November 10th. Congrats to Nate on making the team and best of luck to Jimmy in whatever future endeavors he pursues. Edit: Linhart started the Bayhawks preseason game against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (gotta love D-League team names) and put up a nice line of 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists a three and a block in nearly 33 minutes. Dave in Green Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Thanks for the update. Everyone can follow Nate's progress here: Team Link Quote
ZachTheZip Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Seems like Conyers needs to find a team that doesn't have Nate Linhart anywhere near it in order to succeed. Let's hope he finds a roster spot somewhere. Quote
zip37 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Great news re: Nate, sure hope Jimmy catches on somewhere. Quote
zippyfan34 Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Good start 11 points on 4-5 shooting, 5 boards, 4 assists in 21 minutes in a victory. http://www.nba.com/dleague/games/20101119/...I/gameinfo.html Quote
Zip Watcher Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 You see he had a +44 in the game?! Quote
ZZZips Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Nate #22 continues to get good playing time (avg 30 mins). FT and 3pt (although few attempts) are good percentages. http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/nate...game_stats.html Quote
Dave in Green Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Holy crap, Linhart is: * Leading the team in average minutes played per game (30.0). * Leading the team in field goal percentage (.592). * Leading the team in 3-point percentage (.444). * Leading the team in steals per game (2.11). * Third on the team in assists per game (2.4). He's outperforming teammate Christian Eyenga, the Cavs' first round draft pick in 2009 (30th overall). He's so darned close to being capable of performing at least a minor role on an NBA team. Absolutely amazing. Quote
Big Zip Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 As I caught a little of the Cavs game last night played by he likes of Christian Eyenga, Ramon Sessions, Alonzo Gee and Samardo Samuels I wondered what is the chance Varajeo's injury gives Linhart a call up and chance to play. He would seem like the type of player any NBA coach would love...leaving it all on the floor playing harder than anyone out there. Quote

I was thinking the same thing when Christian Eyenga rolled his ankle and was in so much pain I thought he was done for the year. Then he didn't even have to come out of the game out of the timeout. I figured Linhart and Eyenga games are pretty similar. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Never thought i'd say this but i would SOOOO buy a jersey from any NBA team (besides the Heat) that a UA alum was playing for. A Cavs Linhart jersey? Doesn't get more awesome than that...well besides a Teal Bunbury Team USA jersey. Quote
PA ZIPPY Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Catch Nate on TV this Wednesday (Jan. 12th). Erie Bayhawks on Versus beginning at 8:00 PM. Quote

Big Zip Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Thanks PA Zippy...looking forward to watching the game. Quote
OZoner Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 It can't take much more than Linhart is showing to at least get on the Kings, Wiz, or Cavs. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Seems like Linhart may be the next "Ira Newble?" Good for him. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I'm starting a new feature on my blog called 20 Questions. Here is our first edition, 20 questions with Nate Linhart. Nate (of course) was very classy about the whole thing and his responses are great. Take a look: LINK Quote
Dave in Green Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Nice interview! The most interesting thing to me is that Nate is considering a possible coaching career. You never really know how good a coach any given player would make. But if Nate could teach his winning attitude to younger players, I think he'd have a good chance at becoming a successful coach.
