meatwad
The match up is set to decide who goes to the college cup. After the Zips play tonight I'm feeling pretty good about this one. Add in the fact that Cal will have to travel across the country I think the Zips come out all over them and get an early goal. Prediction: Zips 2 Cal
zippyfan34
We need to pack the place. Since it's Saturday, we won't be competing with the NFL and most college football is done. Invite people from work, neighbors, anyone. Let's get 5,000 in the "Jack".

Wally B
Briefly checked the boards over on BigSoccer... Seems there was a lot of tension at the CAL UCSB match! Zach, can you fill us in?
ZachTheZip
Briefly checked the boards over on BigSoccer... Seems there was a lot of tension at the CAL UCSB match! Zach, can you fill us in? Fights, threatening the referee, red cards flying all over. It was a mess. And that was just what happened after the game. Things got chippy from the beginning. There was this incident. The kid who got punched (Silva) received a red card while the aggressor only got a yellow. Then there were complaints about the ref not calling this a handball in the box. I can't find video of what happened after the game, but it ended on a Cal goal in OT that was very much offsides but not called as such. In all, Cal had three yellows while UCSB finished with one yellow and four reds (three after the game ended)
tbozeglav
Second video regarding the handball doesn't look like one. Looks like the defender turned with his arms down and the ball hit is upper arm, if anything. Definitely would like to see this "offsides" though. UAZipster0305
Just got my tickets in the mail for the Final Four. C'mon Zips - beat Cal! As Paris Hilton would say, "Wow, that's hot." I love that there is a UA player on the face of one of the tickets. So much for not being recognized as a power program by the NCAA.

You can clearly see Akron on the front of Nagbe's jersey. Unfortunately its just Virginia raising the trophy on the Championship ticket. And for any of you clever college kids who can get out there and have an idea to print and use the ticket, I already erased the UPC and code number. Sorry. Awesome, thanks for the picture, those are great. Btw, since you erased the UPC and there is no seat # listed, would you mind if i used your picture for my blog? In all, Cal had three yellows while UCSB finished with one yellow and four reds (three after the game ended) I was wondering why no one else had brought this up after i posted that story on it last week. I had completely forgot to look for video of the incident(s). There were people on the UCSB boards calling for fans to boycott the College Cup or the AD to pull out of the contract over this. Needless to say, they are POed at the NCAA over that game's officials.

Z.I.P.
Just got my tickets in the mail for the Final Four. C'mon Zips - beat Cal! Oh Dude! That is so beautiful. I sure hope the ones from the university will look like that. I want to have the players sign mine. Knock on wood (no not the ex-bb player). MDZip
Last year after the semi-finals, they had an autograph tent and posters of the final four that the players signed. I have one with the entire team's signatures on it from then. I hope they do it again this year (of course also assuming that the Zips make it). If we beat Cal and advance to the College Cup, would the Zips take part in the autograph session? Due to the fact that we're the 3 seed we will be playing in the later game. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have the team focused on the match than on signing autographs an hour before the game. The time is listed as TBA. I wonder if they'd have the teams playing in the later game sign after game #2. Either that or earlier in the day.

jem101
I take back what I said about us being the late game. Got a little switched up. I believe we would be the first game, with the 1v4 matchup being the late game.
tpsjugglerdude
Last year we played the late game being the 1 seed so I would assume the 2-3 seed match would be the first one if it stays how it was last year.
