No. No we won't, and no we shouldn't. Look at his stats and take a wild stab as to why not.

If by "stats" you are referring to his fairly pathetic .215 batting average so far this year, it should be considered that he has been improving in this area in recent weeks and his fielding at second base for the Asheville Tourists has been solid.

"Should we go get this guy?"

By going to get him, does this mean to ask a former NC State qb if he wants to come to Akron to be a part of a team that went 1-11 last season? Or, does this mean we throw a bag over his head, kidnap him and force him to play football for Akron? My guess is the only way we "get him" is the kidnapping method.
