Big Zip
Gold is gone from the basketball uniforms and silver has replaced it. Doesn't this seem weird to anyone else?
Blue & Gold
That's gold. It's just a light shade of old-gold. Very classy. Very sweet. We're fortunate to have gold in our colors. Very cool.Did anyone else notice that where the white uni has a "Z" on the leg, the blue uni has an "A" and the alternate gold uni has "UA."Extremely well done. I'd be willing to shell out $150 (possibly more) for a replica alternate gold jersey & shorts. Wonder if they'll be available? Also, I think they showed the Akron LeBrons. Not everyone on the team has to wear them. The LeBrons are actually designed for a big (heavy) man and not so much for a guard. I only wear them because they're LeBrons, while actually a lighter shoe w/ less support (e.g., Kobes or Jordans) would be fine for me. I just saw the link to GoZips.com. Alright, yeah, very odd. Oh, well, whatever. Still pretty cool, I guess? Idk, I want to see alternate GOLD unis. We haven't had them since Dru, Wood & Rome played. Blue & Gold
While I wish we had gold uniforms, I have no problem adding silver/gray to the color scheme - lots of schools are adding it as an alternate/trim color, along, of course, with black.Check out Oklahoma State's new gray/silver football uniforms. They're pretty sick.

Wonder if they'll be available?I wouldn't hold my breath. Unless someone in the marketing department suddenly and unexpectedly got a clue, I would expect the apparel offerings to continue to blow. Just my opinion. Check with Akron Felt & Chenille and see if they can make you one. They did a good job on the football jerseys.

It's kind of the craze now to add another color to a school. Oregon added black, silver and "volt", OK State and Syracuse added silver, Arizona State added black, WVU added black, etc. It's something the football team should have done a long time ago! Traditionalists will have a tough time adjusting, but the younger generations will find these awesome.

Blue & Gold
Speaking of silver/gray being incorporated into the color scheme of many schools, I now have new favorite football uniforms - Oklahoma State is currently wearing their gray helmets & pants w/ black jerseys & orange numbering. They're simply awesome.

Big Zip
Looking through my ESPN Magazine this morning and saw the Zips are preseason ranked 97...Wow that seems like a lot of disrespect. Can't is the no. 1 ranked MAC team at 68. Looking at the rankings of the other teams on our schedule I feel like we need to get 25 wins with this schedule. WVU would seem like the only game against a significantly higher ranked team. Once again no teams in the top 25 and way to many in the bottom 1/3. Mississippi State -- 62Valpo -- 163Duquesne -- 94Detroit -- 93West Virginia -- 43Middle Tenn -- 159CSU -- 122Ark Pine Bluff -- 340Florida A&M -- 302YSU -- 235NC A&T -- 326VCU -- 74Marshall -- 103Miami, OH -- 176BGSU -- 185OU -- 141Buffalo -- 126Can't -- 68Ball St -- 142CMU -- 236Toledo -- 327EMU -- 264WMU -- 143NIU --

That's a squad that will be giving Memphis all it can handle in C-USA. They're definitely better than VCU right now.
GP1
Can't is the no. 1 ranked MAC team at 68.Everyone, please refrain from Can't bashing for a minute. Can anyone give me a good reason why this is the case? It makes no sense to me.
Dave in Green
Can't is the no. 1 ranked MAC team at 68.Everyone, please refrain from Can't bashing for a minute. Can anyone give me a good reason why this is the case? It makes no sense to me.It's really pretty simple:Can't had a better record last season than the Zips, Can't ended last season with an RPI of #67 to the Zips' #101, and Can't lost only one starting player while the Zips lost two starters. Both teams have added a couple of good transfers.Like it or not, Can't has another strong team that will probably be even more athletic this season than last, so the Zips will have to perform at a high level to beat them. Lion Girl
Perhaps they know the difference between mind bottling and mind boggling. C'Mon stuff like that makes us look stupid. Also, they're is a contraction of they are. Their is a possessive pronoun and there is a place. Don't get me started on to, too and two. You can't call someone stupid just because you didn't get the reference. Actually a 2 second Google search would have helped you.I'm not sure where my other bad grammar of "they are" and "their" or "too and to" was located? I think you should watch what you say.Did I say everything correctly for you? or should I refund my UA Degree?
Lion Girl
The there and to references were not for you in particular, but were more general observations. Regardless, appears I hit a nerve and for that I humbly apologize.
