akronzips71
If they don't start mixing it up on first down, the coach should be FIRED before 5 PM today. The play calling is absurd. They could be in this game.
akzipper
Not sure what coach is thinking. These play calls are terrible, Oline is playing terrible, defense can't tackle or cover no chance in this game, is it 2012 yet? when's the next soccer game? Soccer is gay Why did they not go for it on 4th. This has to be the most conservative play calling I've ever seen. Run-Run-IncompletePass-Punt let OSU score, repeat. I feel like it's 50-0 already

zipsbandman
Zips are not playing to win this game. Play calling is so predictable. Ohio State has given them an opportunities but we are being so conservative. You rarely get the opportunity to play an Ohio State team that is rebuilding like this. jem101
Since when did Bauserman turn into Pryor?
Lee Adams
Afraid by the second half the Zips D won't be able to walk much less run.
akzipper
Since when did Bauserman turn into Pryor? The two rushing zips defenders decided to tackle each other instead of going after him. We're not playing to win, we're playing to not lose by 50. Coach I does not want to win this game, and it's pretty obvious since the first series. Run Run Incomplete Pass Punt It's like watching Brian Daboll's offense for the Browns last year!!! Only we don't have a good O-line or Running back...
mes102
See you guys later...I can't stand this playcalling...4th and inches, and you don't go for it. You're telling your players you don't trust they can get that inch. No wonder why we went 1-11...You're the underdog. You're not going to win the game by running the ball. You have to GO BIG OR GO HOME...looks like Ianello is already on I-71.... I'm heading to volleyball...at least I know Coach Ron Arenz has trust in his players, and expects to win... jem101
He didn't get that first down! Too bad the coach already used the challenge. Yeah, he shouldn't have used it there. But, I think it's kind of ridiculous that you only get one challenge. If the refs blew the call, they shouldn't get away with it. Then again, you can't have challenges every 10 minutes. Tough spot. akronzips71
Should have been an interference call on that pass.

mes102
Part of me wishes that Ohio State had Pryor, Herron, Posey, Berry, and others so that we lose 100-0 and Ianello gets fired by 5pm tonight...

akzipper
Is it just me, or has out PUNTING been fantastic this game. I'm in awe at how amazing they have been. It's like giving me hope we can win this game. If Oregon had punts like us maybe they would have won the Championship last year. Touchdowns are overrated, punting wins championships. Fear the Punt

Dave in Green
Zips are currently tied with Can't, with both teams losing 0-21 in the second quarter.
mes102
This is not my first time seeing an Akron-Ohio State, but at least Brookhart brought a fire with him against opponents bigger than us...Ianello just accepts defeat before even stepping on the field against these opponents... I still believe this, and all of you can disagree (and probably will), that Brookhart got a raw deal. I feel that there's a good chance that Brookhart would be still coaching if we never got that new stadium. Brookhart never had control with the disciplinary aspect of it, but he sure knew how to play against Can't State and the big opponents. Isn't that what matters the most in this sport? I want to thank MAC-Sports for making all MAC athletic games free...won't have to waste my money on this crap...
