skip-zip
I have to believe that no single regular season soccer game has ever had as much hype as this one. I think the self-proclaimed "Godly" status that OSWho carries around has a lot to do with that. It's easy to see their hatred towards us, and I think it's the most evident in this sport. What happened with Nagbe last year, and their coaches reaction, only adds to that. It really is starting to be reminiscent of the kind of excitement we have going into a Ken+ football or basketball game. I love it. It really gives Akron sports fans something else to get excited about while we wait for football to come around again. Now I'll sit back and wait for the "Ohio State doesn't compete against Akron" posters to arrive.
mes102
In case everyone is wondering, Ohio State is bringing 2 buses of students up for the game tomorrow. The Rowdies are expecting a student record attendance for this game. Which will be remarkable with how many students was there for the Tulsa game. jem101
I have a feeling this is how a Premier League Darby feels. Absolutely cannot wait for this game! Is it too much to ask for another beat down similar to the one we laid on Michigan last year?

They don't care.
mes102
Here's what they're now doing even though their head coach complains about Akron students being behind the goal. Comments are hilarious as well... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101...e=1&theater

w00t
I have a feeling this is how a Premier League Darby feels. Great comparison, this match will be epic. I say Akron 2 - OSU 0 and yet another new attendance record. I hope the Rowdies reach new heights of verbal abuse towards the keeper and the opposing fans. Personally I know someone who got into it with an OSU parent a couple years ago during passing clinic we put during that 3-0 home victory. RowdyZip
Anyone have an idea what the student limit is? I have a midterm in my 640 class (great timing) and hope to get there around the start of the game. What are my odds of getting in?

I think they ended up around 1800. My guess is you'll be safe...
fknbuflobo
You youngins' come out and pack the house! "Fill the Hill" as they say. This will be a rough match, with many cards, possibly injuries. It matters not what the respective records are.

yazan07
Both teams are coming off wins, ours being the 3-0 thrashing of Tulsa, and Ohio State beat Michigan in Columbus 3-2 in overtime. Michigan isn't as good this year as they were last year so I think this shows us a bit about where OSU stands. Even against their rival and with their brand-new-awesome-behind-the-goal-student-section, they still needed OT (albeit it was less than a minute of OT). Mattocks came back from his suspension ready to strike and had a hat trick, I hope he can come up big tomorrow.

Dave in Green
Current weather forecast for tomorrow is 40-50% chance of rain from 1 p.m. right on through midnight, so some of the fair weather fans might be discouraged from showing up. ZachTheZip
I think those games against the southwest teams were all in preparation for our games against Big Ten opponents. OSU is a dirty team with a dirty coach.

And don't let any of the brainwashed OSWho fans tell you that it's not true. They wouldn't bring two busloads of fans up here if they were not desperately trying to avoid allowing the state of Ohio to know that Akron is superior to the athletic program that spends tons of money to try to BUY titles. I would hate to see this rivalry ruined and our atmosphere behind the goal at games be ruined because it's too intense and people can't control themselves.
