I have to believe that no single regular season soccer game has ever had as much hype as this one. I think the self-proclaimed "Godly" status that OSWho carries around has a lot to do with that. It's easy to see their hatred towards us, and I think it's the most evident in this sport. What happened with Nagbe last year, and their coaches reaction, only adds to that. It really is starting to be reminiscent of the kind of excitement we have going into a Ken+ football or basketball game. I love it. It really gives Akron sports fans something else to get excited about while we wait for football to come around again.

Now I'll sit back and wait for the "Ohio State doesn't compete against Akron" posters to arrive.

In case everyone is wondering, Ohio State is bringing 2 buses of students up for the game tomorrow. The Rowdies are expecting a student record attendance for this game. Which will be remarkable with how many students was there for the Tulsa game.

Great comparison, this match will be epic. I say Akron 2 - OSU 0 and yet another new attendance record.

I hope the Rowdies reach new heights of verbal abuse towards the keeper and the opposing fans. Personally I know someone who got into it with an OSU parent a couple years ago during passing clinic we put during that 3-0 home victory.

I know that for the Tulsa match last year, the limit was 2000. I think they ended up around 1800. My guess is you'll be safe...

Both teams are coming off wins, ours being the 3-0 thrashing of Tulsa, and Ohio State beat Michigan in Columbus 3-2 in overtime. Michigan isn't as good this year as they were last year so I think this shows us a bit about where OSU stands. Even against their rival and with their brand-new-awesome-behind-the-goal-student-section, they still needed OT (albeit it was less than a minute of OT). Mattocks came back from his suspension ready to strike and had a hat trick, I hope he can come up big tomorrow.
