Early signing day

Recommended Posts

No official word yet. WBB is rumored to have four new recruits that are all signed, but some paperwork needs completed before we can legally announce anything. Not sure what's happening on the Men's side.

"Signing day" is a bit of a misnomer, as it's actually an early signing period that lasts over the course of one week. Recruits have until November 16th to send in their Letters of Intent.

SF Jake Kretzer is supposed to be signing today.

I get the feeling that the recruiting class will be announced right before the Hiram game.

Based on good information; do not expect an official announcement until next Thursday.

According to MaxPreps he committed.

Latest word: Two are signed; third expected Wednesday; announcement on Thursday.

Please do not ask who is not signed; technically I do not know who is or is not signed.

If I can't ask who is not signed...can I ask who IS signed?? ;):nono:

Are we signing a center?

If not, shouldn't we be going after one? It'd be nice to give a "5" a year to develop, learn the system & relax on the bench while Zeke's a senior.

If not, we're going to have a monster hole @ 5 after Zeke graduates. (Not that we'd not have huge shoes to fill anyway.)

Per Dambrot...no center this year. That is the priority for next year. I think we will be looking in some unconventional locations for our next center. We are also investing in a "rack" to strech Tree and Egner a few inches ;)

What I took from this article is that Dambrot can recruit better quarterbacks then Ianello...

Funny...but at the same time sadly true.

Anyways, let me be the first on here to officially welcome the three newcomers to our Zips family. Very much looking forward to seeing these three young men hone their craft in the blue and gold.

Now I just have two questions:

1) Where does the extra scholarship come from? (my money would be on Michael Green transferring out at the end of the year)

2) What are the plans for the C position after Zeke runs out of eligibility? (my guess is KD breaks his tendencies a little more and goes after a JUCO)

Congratulations, Melo, Jake & Reggie on receiving full-ride scholarships to an excellent university and for the opportunity to help contribute to a sincerely up-and-coming basketball program; a program about to make noise on the national level!

And congratulations KD & staff on another excellent recruiting class!!!

Go Zips!!!

OK, you can be the first to officially welcome the three newcomers to our Zips family, but I want to be the first to unofficially welcome them, their families, close friends and casual acquaintances to our Zips family.

Local article on Reggie McAdams signing his LOI.

Did you read the article in its entirety? I didn't want to have to either subscribe or register to read the rest.

Interesting nugget, McAdams, at 6-6, plays PG in high school - though the article states KD wants to move McAdams to the wing. But he can apparently handle the rock.

No, I just read the synopsis for the same reasons.
