Someone on their fan message board thinks one the advantages they have over us is their deep bench. Its one thing to play 8 or 9 guys, versus having 8 or 9 guys who could start on every team in the MAC like we have. If we don't beat ourselves by being careless with the ball, we win easily.

Seems like easy money. Now that Ianello is gone, I might have to start betting on the Zips. Don't let me down KD, Ianello was easy money.

I think this team will have to really under-perform for the zips to win by less than 10. If i was king, err.. coach, my game plan will be: Zeke doesn't have to worry about any offense tonight as long as he takes care of Jarrod Jones on D.

For the rest of the guys, play full court press and push the ball as fast as possible, have fun, and don't save any energy. Other than Zeke, we can sub 4 players in stretches of 3 minutes.

...Randy Davis is one of the top PG's in the conference and averages better than 6 assists per game...

Got this off of Ball State's athletics website:

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State senior guard Randy Davis (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth) has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week the league office announced Monday. This is the third time in his career that Davis has been honored by the MAC and the first this season. Davis led the Cardinals to back-to-back road wins last week with victories at Central Michigan and Northern Illinois. His all-around play was a catalyst for the Cardinals as he averaged 9.0 points, 8.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game as Ball State improved to 4-1 in MAC play.

Davis, the national leader in NCAA Division I in assist/turnover ratio at 3.79, dished out 16 assists in the two games while only committing three turnovers for a 5.33 ratio. He dished out a team-high 10 assists in the Cardinals' 21-point victory at Central Michigan while also scoring seven points and grabbing seven rebounds. He followed that performance up with 11 points and six assists at Northern Illinois. On the year, he leads the team with 106 assists and chipping in 8.5 points per game.

While my biggest concern for tonight's game is the Zeke -vs- Jarrod Jones matchup (hoping Big Zeke can neutralize Jones as well as he does Can't's Justin Green) it sounds like Rico's gonna have more than his hands full matching up with Randy Davis.

Great news!

Go Zips!

BTW, posting bogus info, intentional or not, when some ZNO posters MAY have money riding on it shows exceedingly poor judgement. This is especially true if, per chance, one of those members is a moderator.

I do believe that the intent of the person who gave me the info was to influence betting on the game. I am not happy with them.

I'm all for legalized (i.e., state regulated) gambling. As they say, gambling is a tax on stupidity. And the government needs the $$. :D
