johnnyzip84 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 @JZ84, Hopefully one of our returning QB's can step up and get the job done so the 2012 QB recruits can be redshirted. Agreed Keener! One might think Kyle Pohl wouldn't fit too well in the spread. Tyrell Goodman will probably end up at another position? There are a lot of ways this could play out. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Green WR Andrew Pratt & Fairfield S James Turner both signed! Quote

He was a rather highly-touted 3-star QB when we signed him. Quote

I assume Pro-Style because he was definitely listed as a Pro-Style QB by the services. That doesn't mean he can't be successful in the spread, of course. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 10:17 a.m. Akron Beacon Journal sports writer and UA Athletics beat writer George Thomas has embedded himself with the staff today. Gotta give credit where it's due. He's done a nice job lately. Quote

Gotta give credit where it's due. He's done a nice job lately. He really has. I wasn't at all thrilled when GT was named Zips beat writter, and I was rather outspoken about that fact here on ZNO, so I really should be one of the first to go out of my way to praise his good work. GO ZIPS. Hey, somebody at GoZips.com reads ZipsNation.org!! They fixed the typo My work here is not done, but we are making progress. Quote

ZachTheZip Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Posted February 1, 2012 I'm beginning to wonder if the early enrollees count against last year's recruiting class and not this year. Does anybody know the rules on that? Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 I REALLY like the recruiting footprint I am seeing from this class (NE Ohio, SW Ohio, PA, Florida, Jersey, etc.). These are exactly the regions Coach Bowden said he would focus his efforts. Quote
Zipmeister Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Let's hope we can land this kid. YES. If we could sign this kid we will set a new D1 record for most linebackers on a roster listed at less than 200 pounds. Quote
