RowdyZip
Joe now has us as a 14 seed in Columbus vs Georgetown. I'll spoil some ESPN Insider info. Breaking down the odds, he also gives the Zips a 14.9% chance of advancing to the Sweet Sixteen and a 0.1% chance of winning the National Championship. LZIp
Wouldnt mind playing Georgetown. Definitely a team we can upset (though I believe if we are at full strength we can upset anybody). OU upset them a few years ago in the tourney.
bigzipguy
It is because OU upset Georgetown 3 seasons ago that I do not want to play them. They know that a MAC team can beat them, and they will be more than mentally ready.

Kangaroo Craig
These Bracketology discussions are always nice to read, but as all of us know, an awful lot can change between now and early March. Very premature. If the Zips run the table, or come close to it, then I would suspect that they would be better than a 14 seed, or Gob forbid, we get upset in the conference tourney and have to settle for the NIT or some other garbage tournament. Georgetown could also fall or improve. I'm not paying any attention to this stuff. Just rooting for the Zips.
Dave in Green
Bracketology is just someone's best guess of a snapshot at a point in time. It reflects the way someone thinks things would be if they remained about the same as they are today. Everyone knows that things are going to change. But it's still interesting and fun to follow all the ups and downs along the way to the final destination.
MDZip
Joe currently has the Zips as a 13 seed playing Wisconsin in Nashville. I'd like that. C'mon Zips, turn it on, finish even stronger.
RowdyZip
CBS has the Zips as a 14 playing UNLV in Albuquerque. In a complete lack of MAC Respect, Yahoo (Rivals) has the Zips as the top 15 seed.
MDZip
In a complete lack of MAC Respect, Yahoo (Rivals) has the Zips as the top 15 seed. Well I don't have a lot of respect for their prognosticating powers anyway, since they have the 11 and 12 seeds listed as the play-in spots, when it is actually 12 and 13 this year. Dave in Green
The Zips just got their best bracketology matchup ever on CBS Sports: #13 seed playing #4 seed Murray State in Nashville. That's one heck of a winnable game for the Zips. Too bad this one couldn't be locked in right here and now. CBS Sports Bracketology
Dave in Green
Zips still a projected #13 seed in the latest CBS Sports bracketology but now matched with #4 Indiana in Nashville. Oral Roberts has moved up to a #12 seed. If the Zips beat ORU in their arena, they have a shot of moving up another notch into ORU's #12 slot. skip-zip
I know it is just for fun. Back to a 14 seed. This time in Pittsburgh vs Georgetown. Honestly, I wouldn't care who the opponent would be. I'll even take the #1 team in the country, IF IT MEANS WE CAN PLAY OUR FIRST ROUND GAME 2 HOURS FROM HOME !!!!! bigzipguy
Skip-Zip: I agree. Get in and just several hours driving distance. HOWEVER, There can be a huge difference between a 13 seed and a 14 seed as far as the possibilities of pulling the upset.
Dr Z
I'll take a 15 seed if we get to play Columbus State (2 seed).
skip-zip
I'll take a 15 seed if we get to play Columbus State (2 seed). That might be even better. But, what are the chances we would have to play them right in Cowlumbus? Would the selection committee even allow a #2 or #3 seed to play in their home arena? I'd hate to be the #1 team in that region, only to find out that a team seeded lower had home court advantage.
bigzipguy
I believe that that NCAA rules do not allow a tournament team to play in their home arena in the first 2 rounds??
