No Respect

Recommended Posts

After seeing this, I don’t expect ANY Zip tailgaters to make collegesportsmadness’ 1st team all-MAC in 2012

The Zips depth and uniform talent distribution will always hurt them in polls like this, but this one is particularly absurd. OU didn’t exactly get much respect either, for much the same reasons.

Have I missed something? When did Jarrod Jones suddenly have a "G" listed as his position?

I figured that Keith's biggest competition for Coach of Year was Reggie.

And I am happy that Zeke has finally made enough of a name for himself to get recognized among some of the better front line players.

Shocked to see Justin Green on the 3rd team.

I love Pearson, and I'm happy to see that he pushed Cooper to the 2nd team in his Senior year.

The site has very poor viewership

Global Rank - 734,435

US Rank - 217,049

Funny. Zips Nation is ranked 162,738 by the same site.

P.S. Don't tell the moderators, but http://webhost-a.com/www/zipsnation.org claims the Nation is worth $70,520 and could generate $736/month in profits. That's some decent change!

T Ziegler has to be the most over hyped player in the history of the MAC.. He and McCallum up at Detroit were considered to be two major additions to the MAC and Horizon. McCallum is twice the player that Ziegler is. In fact, Trey is almost as bad a player as his dad Ernie Ziegler is a coach. If you have some time, check out T Ziegler's shooting % over his first two years. He improved this year but he's still a joke. I'm hoping that we get two more years out of that pair up at CMU. I would think that Ernie has to be on the hot seat as well as Hawkins up at Western. He does have some talent there and Western has certainly under achieved this year. We were fortunate to get out of KZoo with a W

I sold a domain name that I owned for $10,000 a couple of years ago. It was for a project that never quite got off the ground. I paid $15 for it. Nice little return on my investment. :D

Watt I can buy, but Murphy, no way. Beat Keith by two votes, 12-10. Witherspoon had two and deserved it more than Murphy did. The only reason EMU had a "good" record was because they play in the West. Not even a top four seed in the tournament and went 2-4 against the East. Ridiculous.

exactly...Watt was actually my pick but Witherspoon and Dambrot were who i thought it would come down to...not Murphy. Seriously WTF? The guy's team limped into the MAC Tourney and got to play the MAC West for 10 of his games. I'd say his team underperformed!

We don't need no steenkin' poll to know which team was best in the MAC or which team had the strongest bench.

In fact, it may have been the Zips' strong bench that kept individual players out of the top 20. KD teams are always teams, not collections of star players.

As far as Zeke vs. Stainbrook, they were fairly close on stats, with Stainbrook having a small edge on offense and Zeke having a bigger edge on defense. Beyond stats, Zeke is obviously more of a game changer than Stainbrook.

Stainbrook's offensive stats might be a little better than Zeke's (but again with ten games against the West, Zeke got ten against the East), but I bet you could take a poll of MAC coaches, 11 of the 12 would take Zeke on their team over Stainbrook (one coach would be an idiot and it probably wouldn't even be Hawkins).

Well, if they wanted to grant the COY honors based on improvement, Toledo's coach, Todd K clearly outperformed Murphy.
