K92 Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 That looks like a 3-for-$12 parody t-shirt with a pirated logo that you would see at a huckster shack in a tourist trap down south. Quote
NewZipsFan Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 Not sure why they didn't go with the CORRECT and PERFECT logo designed by AK Oldies... Quote
GP1 Posted April 3, 2012 Report Posted April 3, 2012 I'd rather have a Bowden Ball shirt. The Fear The Roo campaign we stole from Maryland years ago now has worn thin with me. Ready for something else. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Went to go buy one but the bookstore had no clue what i was talking about and the team shop was closed at 4:15. Massive fail UA. Quote
Dr Z Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 GoZips dot com Announcement I still don't get the punctuation? Quote
g-mann17 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 GoZips dot com Announcement I still don't get the punctuation? Yeah it supposed to be... Fear the Roo DADUM! DADGUM! Fear the Roo Fear the DADGUM! Roo I mean we know what it is, but a casual on looker wouldn't. Quote
NewZipsFan Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 GoZips dot com Announcement I still don't get the punctuation? Didn't even notice the punctuation at first - because the font is SO WRONG. But you're right... the punctuation makes NO SENSE!!!! I am NOT a happy camper about this... I couldn't wait to get my shirt -- now I may have to make them myself -- properly! (without punctuation) Quote
Dr Z Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I'm not wearing that thing. Looks like "yum" instead of "gum" too. For reference, here is the original post I would wear this one. Subtle, yet humorous. Although I like the color and graphic on the bookstore one better. Quote

Subtle, yet humorous. That's what it was SUPPOSED to be.... I'm furious, beside myself, in a tizzy, riled up... add any other terms that mean "p*ssed off" that you can think of! Quote
Dr Z Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Does somebody actually own one of these? Take a look, did they just overprint the Dadgum! on top of an existing shirt, instead of creating new artwork? That would explain a little of the issue. Quote

I'll agree that maybe there was a large stock of the originals available... but that STILL doesn't explain the DADGUM EXCLAMATION POINT! Quote

I just heard a little "good news" about the Dadgum t-shirts (I swear, I am making a federal case out of this -- not sure why!).. But Coach Bowden had t-shirts made for the players that they were given at the start of Spring Ball - and they've got "Akron Football" on the front, and the CORRECT "Fear the Dadgum Roo" logo on the back Quote

I'm going to copy that image & just take it to a t-shirt shop & see what they can do. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 On the back, I'd have put: IF A DUCK CAN PULL A TRUCK HITCH'EM UP! Franklin Gothic Heavy font. Quote

Dr Z Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 Considering our mascot, should it be "If a Kangaroo, Can Pull a Canoe, Hitch it To", nah, that needs work. Quote
