Transfer: LB Kurt Mangum

Recommended Posts

How soon will we hear the words, "that dadgum Mangum"? :)

So in 2012 Arizona gets a transfer LB in his final season from the state of Ohio, and Akron gets a transfer LB in his final season originally from the state of Arizona. Truth can be stranger than fiction.

What's up with all the transfers on this guy?

Transferred from Washington to Howard for more playing time. Graduated from Howard with a year of eligibility left, decided to use it at a FBS school and chose Akron over Arizona State. Seems pretty straightforward.

What kind of a player was he coming out of high school? Does anybody know? I would have to think if he played in the PAC12 he would have to be at least a 3 star recruit. Nonetheless, If Arizona State wanted him, he's probably a pretty good player. We need bodies. We'll take him.

Scout Profile **

Recorded 67 tackles and 7 sacks for 5A state champion Hamilton HS of Chandler.

Playing time was the major factor in redshirt freshman linebacker's decision to leave Washington
