In recent days, Greg Reid(fsu), ray ray Armstrong (Miami), Jajuan story(uf), and Tyron mathieu(LSU) have been kicked off the team. Not sure on all of the rules/situations..but with TBs connections in the south, it would be something to get one of these players!

Coach TB will definitely get transfers that he really wants/can help the team. Too many one year guys - especially with issues- are not going to be the foundation for the team. It's not as easy to transfer from one FBS school to another as it was for the FBS players to transfer to DII North Alabama. Reid transferred to DII Valdosta State (he is from Valdosta, GA). I read yesterday that Ray Ray had hired an attorney and they were filing an injunction to force UM to take him back.

"have been kicked off the team." Certainly, the "powers that be" felt there was good enough reason. I don't pretend to know the individual circumstances of the athletes you mentioned and I'm sincerely not judging any of them.

At the same time, there are plenty of talented athletes just waiting for a chance who; would be diligent in following the rules, work hard to maintain a good academic status, stay out of trouble, work hard and set a good example.

Good point. No disrespect meant to any player on the current roster(if that's what you were getting at).

However, you mention chance, and I'm sure TB is giving everybody on the roster a fair chance and I also believe I have the right to want this team to win as much as possible, with whatever players TB deems fit.

Well there's no chance we could sign someone like him. Can he transfer to a FBS school without sitting out if he gets kicked off the team? If so I could see him landing at another BCS school.

Or the NFL next year after doing nothing this year. Never too late to get a job in the CFL for few weeks. Actually, he could start working on his product endorsement signing bonuses and live off of that until next season.

He has two years of eligibility, but would have to sit out one of those if he transferred to a FBS school.

If what is rumored to be true (him failing his 3rd drug test), he will not be allowed to transfer and play at another school who is a member of the NCAA. It is probably very well the case, but I think LSU is doing him a favor by being broad and saying he "violated team rules" so that he has a chance to play somewhere else

Thank you! The 'bad apples' are tolerable under certain circumstances. They may very well be talented on the field. But,there is no guarantee that even if those guys ended up on anybodies roster they would help produce an immediate winner. They might end up being run off again. You can bring in a few of those guys occasionally to fill some holes. But,you better do your home work and not just look at the potential on the field. Some folks seem to think that because a few guys from big name schools transfer here that a winner is assured. Might help, might not short term. Does nothing long term of it doesn't work.

Don't know that I've seen anyone here say that because a few guys from big name schools transfer here that a winner is assured. But I think we all believe that the more bigger name players the Zips get, the more likely they are to win more games.

They don't have to be big names - just big time players! It looks like with only the three weeks our staff had to recruit, they found some players that were overlooked - Imani Davis, Conor Hundley, Pratt, Hakeem Lawrence, etc. etc.. These guys are proving to be great finds.
