ZachTheZip
Thanks for answering those questions. I'm not too surprised about Turner playing on the scout team for now. I think he'll show up on special teams like Rossi. We can't redshirt him, so letting him sit is a waste and special teams seems like the perfect way to acclimate him to playing football again. LZIp
Proofreading is our friend. I haven't followed the zips for more than a few years, but I can't recall any coverage being near this in-depth for us. I am assuming this article alone came from questions brought up by ZN, therefore basically wrote specifically for us. Why complain ?
LZIp
Anyways, regarding the article, maybe we have more LB depth than originally thought? For some reason I really liked Bowdens quote about it being game week.
Buckzip
Anyways, regarding the article, maybe we have more LB depth than originally thought? For some reason I really liked Bowdens quote about it being game week. Depth doesn't mean quality. The good thing is there are a lot of young players in the 2 deep. That is a good sign for the future. Agree that TB recognizes the importance of game week...
Blue & Gold
Looking through the roster on GoZips.com, I see that neither the OL from Canton McKinley nor Cameron Black's "little" brother from Can't Roosevelt (their names are escaping me) are listed. Did they not qualify? Also, I don't see Medina's Benny Cunningham listed. Any news there as to why? Also, it is interesting (and a bit disconcerting) that besides Dalton Williams (Sr.) all of our QB's are either true freshmen (4) or redshirt freshmen (1 - Kyle Pohl). There couldn't possibly be another team in the country with this QB situation. Going to be an interesting year. Go Zips!

I feel that if the depth wasn't there, we would for sure see players like Rossi and Turner on the depth chart.

I'm sure there are plenty of programs with similar/worse QB situations than we have. I would rather have the guys we have, than three RSRs who can't run Coach Bowden's offense. This offense does not depend on a "rocket arm".. it depends on intelligent play, a great understanding of the offense (most important), and poise/confidence under pressure. I believe we've got that with both Dalton and Kyle -- and Franco is not far behind.

Weren't we in the same situation when Butchie graduated, with completely unknown's Frye and Sparks? That worked out pretty good. I think someone will rise to the top. Bowden seems confident we're in ok shape at QB, so I'm confident too. And yes, it will be an interesting year. I'll take "interesting" over tragic...pathetic...sad...maddening...nauseating...and whatever other adjectives you want to use to describe what we've witnessed since the InfoCision gates opened.
