Between coastal carolina and today, Akron deserves the award for the most embarrassing way to finish a tied game with the ball. The one was a no-shot and the other being a 3 point air ball by your center.

Saying this, with Ok State center fouled out, I don't see a reason not to win this in OT.

Seriously, you choose NOW to vent

Are we going to play OT in all our games this year?

See, I was stupid enough to take the day off today to watch the game. All my coworkers have been hearing about the supposedly great Zips since September... I am beyond venting. This is very embarrassing.

I should get off this board before I say too many things that I shouldn't. :mad_flame:

Why are we trying to be like the OU Bobcats with all of these 3s?!?!?

Last I checked we are the Akron Zips, who have two mid-major impact 7 footers. Why do we not get the ball to them more??!?!?

Speaking of our 7 footers.....jesus how are they rotating and both in foul trouble? The dream of the "twin towers" will never come to life if they can't play good defense.

Just to clarify my previous post, we're up 65-61 with a little over a minute left. Abreu passes it to Chauncey wide open in the corner. He had no one on him within several feet. He should of drove baseline and tried to draw a foul. Instead, he shoots a three, which isn't his strength compared to slashing, and OK State went on fast break and made a three. Zeke then fouls out, and then next defensive possession, Chauncey fouls the shooter who makes 3 free throws...all within 30 SECONDS...

Some quick thougths after watching the Zips play for the first time this year.

1. If Tree and Harney are playing the Zips win this game in regulation. Tree slows down Nash and Harney gives Akron anoter scoring option that isn't an outside jump shot.

2. Was really happy to see Zeke play so well after getting into early foul trouble. His D was the key to keeping the team in the game.

3. AA looked like he was playing on fumes in the 2nd have and it showed in his play.

4. LOVE Kretzer! That kid is going to be a really good player.

5. McAdams looked like a true frosh.

6. Walsh played great and I think he'll have a big year.

7. Don't know what's up with Gilliam??? Had plently of oppurtunities and blew most of them. Hope he bounces back soon.

8. You can't miss that many foul shots and expect to win.

9. Loved the fight in the Zips! They played like they expected to win the game. Just couldn't make enough jumpers in the 2nd half.

I liked what I saw despite the loss. If the team wants to be elite they need to finish these games. I am rally looking forward to seeing this team with Tree and Harney tomorrow.

:screwks:
