jem101 Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 OU should be well rested because their game tonight has been cancelled. There was an armed robbery near campus, so it was shut down and the game tonight has been cancelled. If Akron shut down campus every time there was an armed robbery half the classes would be cancelled. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Maybe they'll play it tomorrow. Quote

Advantage Akron, IMO. #PBR #ASAP #OMG #ThinkBiggerBeers @DrZgoneWild...I'm practicing for social media day. Quote

tpsjugglerdude Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Rescheduled for Feb 20th. 4 days after home game vs Can't and 7 days before Akron. Quote
akzipper Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 I see nothing has changed in Akron since the 1960's! I graduated a few years ago and remember getting emails about robberies (similar to the Ohio U situation) every couple of days. I guess in light of recent events it doesn't hurt to be too cautious. Hopefully no one was injured... Quote

tbozeglav Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Good move by the OU administration. Those students really understood the peril of the situation and made sure they kept themselves safe... http://totalfratmove.com/1140878#hkE7j4TZD0ayt484.02 Quote

MACPicks Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Well they may beat us in basketball, but wow at least we know how to party. 10 people standing around drinking beer is a "fest"? pathetic... Questioning the #1 party school in America's ability to party, really? They called the entire gathering uptown Fugitive-Fest...as in 20+ bars full of people who mostly would not have otherwise if classes wern't cancelled. Not sure how you capture that in 1 photo...the picture you refer to was not supposed to representive the entire "party." Quote
zen Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Would it be in bad taste for Akron to hold a "fugitive fest" if we win the game? /trollface Quote
ZachTheZip Posted February 1, 2013 Report Posted February 1, 2013 Would it be in bad taste for Akron to hold a "fugitive fest" if we win the game? /trollface In a couple years, once Jim Christian gets his own recruiting classes in, we can have a "felon fest" every time we play OU. Quote

You really don't want to compare criminals on the Zips hoops team compared to on the Ohio hoops team, do you? Andrew Moss, Rydell Brooks................ Quote

Andrew Moss, Rydell Brooks................ Rydell Brooks never played for Akron and Andrew moss was a walk on. But if you want to keep this up we can talk about Jay Kinney, Armon Bassett, etc. All I'm saying is neither team can talk. Quote
MaxZIP Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 This is one of the best days of the year and what makes mac basketball special to me. The few games/events where mac fans can come out andbe proud to support their team. Just like the mac tourney today is a day where the mac takes over a city. Go zips! Quote
