2Ball
...its a buy one get one free ticket with with a non winning ohio lottery ticket. It may be for all rounds not just the championship game. If the Zips make the title game again this will cost us atleast 1000 fans.

It will at least cut the total number of people in the arena dramatically, therefore dampening the atmosphere. I think the fans of both schools will still be there. There have been 5k Zips fans at the past several home basketball games, and they all paid full price for their tickets. BOGO for the championship game will deter no one from attending. Anyone who's been at the MAC Championship game at the Q over the past decade knows it is a blast. At BOGO, it is $10/ticket. To see a championship game at a professional arena, that's a steal. Please explain, for those of us slower on the uptake, why BOGO would deter people from coming?
MontrealExposloveZippy
Right. This thread has lost me entirely. Please explain, for those of us slower on the uptake, why BOGO would deter people from coming? Exactly!! I'm confused.. Promotionals usually help attendance. I'm definitely going to be telling people about this deal. I just hope I lose on my scratch off
meatwad
The past few years it has been a FREE ticket with a losing OH lottery ticket (even the $1 scratch offs). So basically they're now making you buy at least one ticket to get one free. I'm with the others though... this won't have that large of an impact. I doubt this will deter any Zips fans from attending.
