akzipper
That doesn't help us. I can't imagine how awful that travel would be. The team flew to Buffalo, so I don't see travel as a problem for them. No one can sit here an honestly say that the teams in the new America12 wouldn't be better competition than the awful MAC schools we are stuck playing. Unfortunately Tulsa will be named the final member and we missed the boat. Meaning we will never get out of the MAC. Even in arguably the best Zips season in history we still have to worry about an at-large bid.

As things are right now, Akron, Can't, BG, Ohio, Miami, and Toledo are lumped together as one craptastic entity known as "the MAC schools." We have a chance to differentiate ourselves, and that's worth it even if it's a lateral move in terms of competition.

Way too regional it feels almost like a high school or FCS conference. We'd benefit from better competition and national exposure.
