I wonder how many tickets VCU is being allotted? Will they even have a student section?

Will we even be able to have a student section with only 500 available??

Ugh..so disappointed about the ticket situation.

8 teams play in Auburn Hills. Each school deserves at least 2500 tickets, meaning Akron got cheated big time. I sure as **** guarantee Michigan is going to have more than 500 tickets.

I won't be making the trip but I can't help but feel like the Zips just can't catch a break. Drawing VCU was cruel enough, then teasing us by putting the game in Detroit with no tickets.

I found it quite easy to buy tickets online through Ticketmaster, as I believe others have said as well. Actually, it seemed easier this year than 2 years ago for Chicago. Won't be all bunched up with everyone else, but we'll be in the arena. Can't expect everything to be perfect. Take what you can get and enjoy the ride.

I sucked it up and bought "decent" seat on stub hub for about $100 each. If by some miracle I get selected in the UA lottery, I will sell my stub hub tickets. The prices are only going to go up and I am sure as hell not getting let out of this one.

Hoping to get in with the meager student ticket allotment. I stood in ice freezing rain for an hour this morning before work just to be able to sign my name on a piece of paper that goes into a lottery.

Does anybody know if there is an alumni or fan charter bus happening? I have a couple friends that won't commit unless we can pay for a ride up/back? Maybe someone looking to carpool out there?

We've had fan busses for places farther than Auburn Hills. I would be very disappointed if there wasn't something.

How did you get tickets for 100 I went on that sight and the cheapest was 213.

We are waiting to see if we got tickets should know tomorrow.

We may not go no place to stay

When we went to Chicago we stayed in the same hotel as the team and it was great.

They had a breakfast with the team etc. Guess they will not have that this time.

as an aside.

One of the espn announcers, ex coach, said he did not understand how VCU got in the tournament. Thought that was interesting.

Saving my money to see the team in TX when they win Thurs and Sat.

GO ZIPS!!!! :champs:

I would've thought they would, but seeing the last offer of student tickets and still no rumblings about a bus for fans OR students, I'm guessing we're on our own because of the shorter trip. I'm not concerned about the distance, I'm concerned about the tip time. The game will likely end around midnight, putting drivers back in OH by about 3:30AM. Maybe a last second hotel nearby is the solution.

The Athletic Department and the Ticket Office are scrambling to buy up any allotted tickets that other schools do not use.

Akron's original allotment (same as the other seven schools) was 550 tickets.

Best bet: buy your tickets through Stub Hub or Ticket(got you by the nads)Master.

Cheap place to stay. The Days Inn at Fifteen Mile and Van Dyke. Seedy, comfortable and cheap. King size beds, 260 channel

cable TV and a small in your room fridge and free Wi-Fi. Off street parking hidden from the prowlers. A safe place to lodge. Recommended by

GoZips.

And easy, walk across the parking lot to a nice Tim Horton's.
