legendofzippy
Wow, who knew lights would be such a major discussion topic. On Saturday I took my daughter (12) to the women's volleyball game. As soon was we walked in the foyer she said "it looks brighter in here." It's pretty obvious to anyone that it looks much better. It's a good improvement.
BirdZip
While it may sound great (to a student) to forbid those horrible families from sitting in the south upper end zone, if they did that, my son and I wouldn't have many choices on where to sit (upper sidelines full). The problem is the placement of the band in the area I've been sitting for several years, especially with them spreading out to consume the entire middle section. Believe me, the last place I wanted to sit was in the same place as a bunch of students who didn't seem capable of staying in one place for more than 2 minutes at a time. The pre-game intros were lame--per my 12-year old's assessment: "These get lamer every year". In my opinion, at least 2 of Quincy's 6 turnovers should have been charged to someone else. They were great passes that the receiver wasn't ready for. Their fault, not Q's. Nyles over Carmelo any day.
JeffQ78
Just so everyone is aware, that was the entire marching band that was at the game, not the blue and gold brass (which is normally there). There is a new director this year since the Director of bands has just retired and things are still in transition. So they will not be taking up that much room the whole season whether or not that is where they will be residing this year.

The band will be back in the floor seats by the home bench for the rest of the games. That is the plan for now.

The best was the cartoon graphics one year when Zippy destroyed all the other mascots. I thought the drum line was also very good during the game. Would like to see more of the band doing something cool during the half. Are we going to see the same half time games the entire season. Musical chairs is good once, maybe twice but not the whole season.
