InTheZone
And if you are, what are you expecting. I'll be there. Anyone know when tickets go on sale?
Zipsrifle
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make many football games this year as another Zip fan will be arriving mid-season. I'll be monitoring via the internet though....I'll have to upgrade my connection. With any luck, there will be two more "Home" games for me this year in Detroit! Dr Z
I'll be there.I was discussing the fact that I liked the matchup between Getsy vs an all new Penn State secondary with friends last night.I had to look it up to make sureThe defense will feature a new secondary, responsible for replacing the four seniors from last year's starting defensive backfield. Justin King and Tony Davis are penciled in as the first-team corners, while rising seniors Nolan McCready and Donnie Johnson will play at the safety spots. We made the over/under for Getsy, 265 passing yards in the game and I took the over. zff
I read on the pennstate.theinsiders.com message board that the game will be on ESPN2 @3:30. And the NC State game will be on ESPNU @12noon. I will not be going to Penn State this year but I will be watching.

Of all people Zipsrifle, you are one of the last people I expected this from. Your work in this matter was completed some time ago. No need to miss any games. Dr Z
Some Rocket fans are going with the Jambulance.Okay, I'll bite, what's a jambulance? My guess is, those gas station attendants painted some old ambulance blue and yellow???
zipsbandman
These Rocket fans are coming to see the Akron/Penn State game to support a fellow MAC? That's pretty cool.

Captain Kangaroo
Some Rocket fans are going with the Jambulance.Okay, I'll bite, what's a jambulance? My guess is, those gas station attendants painted some old ambulance blue and yellow??? I found those Toledo clowns that wear the gas station attendant uniforms. There must never be enough time to change clothes from the time Sunoco closes until game time? I give them credit for supporting their team.
Captain Kangaroo
I'll be there.Where will everyone be spending the night(s) at? One of these hotels:Click Me for Penn State Hotel ListingThere are a million. I don't have a clue where we'll stay. With rare exception, they mandate a 2-nite stay. msopher
Some Rocket fans are going with the Jambulance.Okay, I'll bite, what's a jambulance? My guess is, those gas station attendants painted some old ambulance blue and yellow??? It has nothing to do with the Blue Crew. Some UT alum with some money bought an old ambulance and turned it into a Rocket mobile. I went down to the GMAC bowl in it, and although extremely uncomfortable, the Jambulance got a lot of attention. He is planning on going to games outside of Toledo starting this year and the Akron/PSU game would be a nice start.
GP1
I'll be there.Where will everyone be spending the night(s) at? Just a quick word to the wise when going to a PSU game and planning on staying over night. Most (not all) hotels there require a Friday and Saturday night stay for a home PSU game.I would advise waiting to see what the University offers. They are working on some good road trips for this upcoming season. A day trip is also not out of the question if you are going and from NE Ohio.Good luck room hunting. The campus bar scene the night before a Penn State game is one of the best I've seen...and I've been to a TON of "major" college Friday nights. It is worth the hotel cost for the experience of walking around in your Zips gear and talking some smack and have some nice people buy you beer all night. If you go to Penn State on Friday night....beware the cases of Rolling Rock. That's the best advice I can give.
PSU_Nut
You should book you hotel room now if you want to stay in state college. pickings will be slim by now with many hotels already sold out.
