It might be hard to get officials in and making sure emergency personnel (like an ambulance) can easily get to and from the hospital could be an issue. Ultimately, it taxes a community who is already over-taxed to play the game. MAC/UB made the right call.

I was kidding about moving the Zips-Can't game back to Tuesday with the Flushes stuck in Buffalo. The NFL handled the Buffalo-Jets game by moving it indoors to Ford Field in Detroit. Wonder which team has better traveling fans?

Is there any word of when the Flashes are leaving Buffalo? Zips could still have a big advantage depending on when Can't gets back.

Will this be the 2005 version of the rivalry? Or will it be the 2006 version when the Zips went to K.SU and got spanked. There were high expectations in '06.

I'll take the 2005 version. I just wish it was for the same prize. But I will take a blowout as a great way to end the season and provide some momentum for next year, if we don't go to a bowl.

Should be interesting. If I had Monday and Tuesday off I would go, but I took Wednesday off since I'm going to the Zips game Tuesday night in Ken+....DOH!!!!

Bills Expect Packed Ford Field.

"It's incredible to think that that many tickets have been distributed in that short period of time," Bills president Russ Brandon said Saturday night. "We're looking forward to a robust house that night, and hopefully we'll have a lot of Bills fans in there as well." The capacity of Ford Field is 65,000, but Brandon does not expect fans to be turned away. "With free tickets, your no-show rate has a tendency to be higher," Brandon said. The Bills are offering full refunds for fans who held tickets to Sunday's originally scheduled game at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Even if fans receive a refund, they can use those tickets at Ford Field on Monday night.

Does anyone know if when we win at Can't and become bowl eligible if we can continue practicing until we get official word of a bowl invite or not? I am sure some down time is needed but can't deny the extra work won't be valuable towards next year.

Buffalo's campus only has a few inches of snow. Five miles to the south, and you've got 20-foot high snow drifts. That's lake-effect snow for you. The issue is people, including the teams from their hotels, getting to the stadium. Can't State's already there, and their equipment truck made it after getting stuck in the storm. It would be irresponsible to send them home without at least playing. Even if you don't open the gates to the public and play it as an empty-stadium scrimmage.

I just got around to looking at this...pretty crazy. Not that I would ever feel sorry for Can't but they had to take a 150 mile 6 hour detour around the snowstorm just to get to UB. The field had been cleared but then the 2nd wave of snow hit. It was too much to deal with. I'm not sure when they returned or if they were able to take I-90 back to Ohio.

I think they had to take I-390 and US-15 to Williamsburg PA, before turning back west.

I dont feel bad for Can't at all. The game could have been played if their equipment truck would have ever made it. How does an equipment truck get lost? That game getting postponed screwed us as well. I'm sure a lot of players and coaches would prefer to be home with their families over Thanksgiving.

We are allowed 15 practices.

The bus and truck may not have been traveling together. When the snow started falling it was at a 5" per hour rate. The vehicles that got stranded were the unlucky ones with bad timing.

The equipment and the team(s) rarely leave at the same time anymore. The equipment has to be ready to go on the off chance a team wishes to come to the stadium for a walk through, or anything like that. There are also several times where the team is going to a completely different location than the equipment truck on the day before...
