I believe you'll have to go to a higher authority than TW in terms of selling our soul to ESPN3. It's a MAC deal, isn't it? I'm glad to see some games airing on TWCSC. ESPN3 is great for the diehards, but I doubt it gets many viewers other than that. For what it's worth, Duke and North Carolina play next on Weds. Feb 18.

The problem I have with the MAC signing a deal with TWCSC is that you can only watch (other than on ESPN3) if you have Time Warner. I, and most of the people in the communities near where I live, do not have Time Warner. Therefore, most every week I am watching two games on my laptop or tablet.

This is the most enjoyable Zips game I've seen this season. Not because we beat Can't (which is nice, I have to admit) but because we played fundamental, nice to watch basketball.

For the first time this season it seemed like we are not chucking a 3 pointer on every other possession. I saw a lot of dribble penetrations and a lot of drive and pass to an open post player and I saw one single back door pass. Today the zips looked like a well oiled machine. Today the zips didn't lose because they didn't make 50% of their 3 pointers.

I was a happy zipper away from Akron. What made my night even better is that I saw at the end of the broadcast KD was giving high fives to the ak-rowdies behind the basket.

A lot to like about the Zips' play in this game, especially in the second half. Hitting 11-14 free throws was certainly a step up from recent games. Maybe most impressive was 13 assists with 6 turnovers for the game, and 9 assists with just 1 turnover in the second half. That kind of performance indicates how well the players are coming together as a team. Once again the 11-player rotation was an advantage as the Can't players were visibly tiring near the end while waves of fresh Zips players kept entering the game.

Sounds like a record to me. The record was broke multiple times a few seasons ago during our long winning streak, but I don't remember it being that high. If it isn't a record, its really close to it.
