Sportsjunkie330
No doubt. If someone wants to point fingers, Kwan was 2-9 Kwan has really struggled shooting the ball this year - seems like since MAC play started. Sophomore slump to say the least. Yes, Pat leads the MAC in FG %age but it seems that the last 4-5 games he's missing more bunnies. Without looking, I would guess that he is under his season %age over the last 5 games. It is hard to place the blame on one player for a team that uses 11 and scores 75. Forget about who shot what from the field, let's talk about the team defense. They've given up 72+ points 3 of the last 4 games.
Big E Zip
On a side note, I'm sure I am not the only person who's thrilled to see Jake starting to hit shots and be a part of the scoring effort again. You are not the only person. Jake is so active and valuable in every other aspect of the game, getting on the scoring column adds to that confidence of having him in the game as we hit the home stretch. However, as previously stated the numbers our opposition has been scoring have been disconcerting. I really don't believe this team is the type that can regularly win in a shoot out. Yes, we beat Buffalo in a high scoring game. I just don't think they are built to do that every game. Dave in Green
Good call on Pat being slightly off his season average on the 4 games previous to EMU yesterday. He was 19-40 or 47.5% from the field in those 4 games compared with his season average of 55.4%. To put that in perspective, if he'd made just 1 more field goal in each of those 4 games he would have been right on his season average. So while he's been just a little off over the 4 games prior to yesterday, he was right back on average against EMU as 6-11 = 55%. As with all players, Pat misses a few easy shots and makes a few tough ones. It's the nature of the game. Sometimes Pat will shoot about 45% per game and sometimes about 65%, averaging out to about 55%.
Balsy
I just realized how bi-polar the MAC is this year...in addition to the Akron beating Can't, Can't Beating Toledo, Toledo beating Akron stuff....BG creamed EMU earlier in the season, Akron has swept BG, and EMU beat Akron yesterday. MAC tournament should be interesting this year
ZachTheZip
The MAC is, as a whole, fairly young this year.
skip-zip
To cap off a disappointing loss......You'll all be comforted to know that our "hometown" newspaper covered this game with a "staff reporter", and the score and opponent were listed on the front of the sports page yesterday as CENTRAL MICHIGAN.

The PD actually sent Elton Alexander to the game. I was impressed.

skip-zip
Oh Lord, maybe we lost a doubleheader.LOLI actually had to look at it several times, and was just shaking my head at the continued lack of ABJ focus on the home team. For a second, until I looked at the date, I was wondering how an old paper could have gotten mixed in with the new one. But, we didn't lose to Central

They used the infamous staff reporter for the women's home game against Toledo, too. How many points did "Willie Alvarez" have for Central? I also see the staff reporter covered both the Can't games this past weekend, too.
