Blue & Gold Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Uh... ummmm... has anyone heard anything? March 14th and... ??Did I miss the announcement? I hope not, because if I did, that would mean there wasn't much excitement about it. Quote
TennZip Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 they have not released the class yet.they have 2 exhibition games today in Pittsburgh. Will be interesting if any players joined the team in January and if they play today. 2 Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 15, 2015 Author Report Posted March 15, 2015 they have not released the class yet.Should this be considered troubling, or par for the course in college soccer? And thanks for the info! Quote
TennZip Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 Lineup: Fenlason, De Vera, Ruhaak, Souders, Shultz, Souto, Laryea, Najem, Sepe, Garcia-Aguilar, Dakwar. Can't sign many players when you only graduate two seniors.Top Drawer Soccer has Akron with two 2015 commits. Quote

TennZip Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Ezana Kahsay - I did not see this young man's name in the twitter writeups. Is he still with the team?does any one know how Ismail Seremba is recovering from his surgery? Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 16, 2015 Author Report Posted March 16, 2015 I only see two names listed on both starting lineups - DeVera and Garcia-Aguilar. So we basically split our squad & tied a semi-pro team and beat another D-1 college team. I'd consider that to be pretty impressive! 1 Quote

fknbuflobo Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 Apologies! It is not confirmed that Kahsay has exited the program. He displayed extraordinary athleticism during practice last year. Quote

Z.I.P. Posted March 20, 2015 Report Posted March 20, 2015 Harter may be the back door to Brennan. He had like 15 goals and 17 assists. Those two together...Whowhee! Quote
natemathwhiz2 Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Where was it reported that Ismail is transferring? Quote
fknbuflobo Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 I have not seen Ismail Seremba's imminent departure officially reported. But tranfers out are not something the current SID would communicate anyway. You can bank on it; though he is still attending classes at UA, Seremba has played his last for the Zips. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Ezana Kaysay was not to be found F/3/20/2015, not on the pitch, not on the bench, not in the stands - nowhere. Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted March 22, 2015 Report Posted March 22, 2015 Where is Chris Brennan going?Brennan is only a junior. Hopefully, we'll see him commit to the Zips for 2016.http://highschoolsports.cleveland.com/news/article/6084630023141733176/copleys-chris-brennan-wins-2014-15-gatorade-ohio-boys-soccer-player-of-the-year/The junior forward racked up 23 goals and 14 assists this past season, powering the Indians (20-1-1) to the Division I state semifinals where they lost to St. Ignatius, 1-0. Sounds like 0% facts and 100% speculation. I will wait to hear concrete evidence, although I shouldn't hold my breath to find that on this board. Still waiting for Tree Treadwell and Alex Abreu to be reinstated. Quote
