ZippyRulz Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Last night was a good example of why I don't like WV's style of play. UB would have, and did give UK a better game. It nearly did happen, but for a clutch 3 pointer by WVU at the end of the 1st round game. UB probably would have beaten Maryland too with their loss of a key player and 23 turnovers. Quote
zippy5 Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Notre Dame handled Witchita State rather easily last night. The Fighting Irish are in the Elite Eight, their only close call being a narrow first-round win against Buffalo. They went to OT in the second round against Butler. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 They went to OT in the second round against Butler.Okay, I'm just gonna check out now. Quote
LZIp Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Now St. John is a job I could see Hurley getting offered and taking. Quote
Dave in Green Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Agreed on St. John's. They're not as far down the Big East pecking order as DePaul, they're in the heart of NYC for recruiting and they play home games in MSG. Quote
zippyman23 Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Might actually be a good thing for Buffalo that the St. Johns job open. Danny Hurley is rumored to be one the front runners for the job, If Danny takes it, I doubt Bobby will want a lesser job in the same conference as his brother. Quote
zippyman23 Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 DePaul just (re)hired Dave Leitao. Not exactly a hire that is going to energize the fan base. Quote
ZippyRulz Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Chris Mullin offered by St. John's.http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25128090/chris-mullin-offered-st-johns-job-expected-to-accept Quote
LZIp Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 DePaul just (re)hired Dave Leitao. Not exactly a hire that is going to energize the fan base. Was an asst. at Tulsa. One would have to assume Drew and Hurley declined right? Quote
Dave in Green Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 The University of Texas position is also open, and so far Hurley's name hasn't been mentioned for that one. Rumors say that Gregg Marshall and Shaka Smart are the leading candidates, and that both might be interested. Quote
LZIp Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Reports that Gregg Marshall turned down Bama. Also reports that Shaka is taking the TX job. Quote
