You forgot that we already signed Eric Parrish (6-6,SF) to one of those open scholarships. If Jackson does decide to come to Akron I'm sure KD find a way to make room for him on the team.

I  don't see or hear anything about Frankie Hughes transfering in the media right now. Lets just be happy if we get Jackson.

Thanks for the clarification, Hilltopper. I thought I read Hughes was transferring as well, but I guess I'm just crazy upon second look(even though its looks likely).

I'm not too concerned about Dambrot being able to find enough minutes for both Parrish and Willie. By the time Willie is eligible, Antino/Noah will only have a semester of eligibility left. Eventually Ivey can slide to the 2, softening the blow of us losing 2 starting guards in the same year. From there we would have Parrish/Willie splitting the SF minutes and Willie also playing ~10 minutes per game in the post. We certainly could use the depth and versatility he'd provide us at the 3/4 positions.

Hughes is back at Missouri, but I'm told it's pretty much a certainty he is gone after the year. I guess there is the possibility that the new Missouri coach will be able to sell him on staying. But if Missouri breaks the bank like I was told the school is ready to do, the new coach may want a clean a slate to work with, especially since Missouri doesn't have one senior on the roster. IE, he will clean house and bring in his guys.

Again, I was told, at this point, there is going to be at least two more transfers (one being Hughes).

FWIW, Hughes was very close to not returning to Missouri after Christmas break. Again, I was told both he and Jackson cleaned out their lockers when they returned to Cleveland for Christmas. Jackson didn't report back and announced his transfer (though I believe he did return to Columbia, I'm guessing to finish out the school year). Hughes did report back, but it was a week later than he was supposed to, which is why he was held out of the Lipscomb game. But it looks like he will play out the rest of the season.

BTW, if you are wondering why it is a 99 percent certainty Kim Anderson is gone. Let's put it like this, Missouri has lost games this year to Eastern Illinois, North Carolina Central and Lipscomb. Barring a miracle in SEC play, I think even the old guard Norm Stewart "money" supporters are going to lose faith.

I think this article makes it pretty clear why he chose Toledo. He states that he wants to be "that guy" and his mother mentions that Toledo is losing two seniors at his position. It seems that he just wants playing time and to take on a leading role. Akron's teams aren't exactly known for being centered around one person, whereas Toledo has been at different points.

Toledo's teams aren't exactly known for winning MAC Tournaments, so best of luck to him.  Those games will be fun.
