incredible video quality ....I wish akron had the same quality

Interesting lineup....no goncalo soares or Pau Belana....in the starting lineup

Nate and Robbie both in line up...looks like Nate is DB....and Robbie is a holding midfielder...

Robbie had one really nice run to the goal

Richie was not flopping....but his poor decision at 4-0 up against Mich. State ....comes back to hurt the team.

Hopefully, akron can get a goal from an unlikely hero....Stuart Holthusen? Anthony Macchionne ? Sean Sepe works hard...would love to see him get rewarded...

the side with Andrew and Sam....not seeing the ball much

Welcome, Flipeezip22.

Where the hell have you been all this time? You are a student, I presume?

Mountaineer Network is as good a webstream there is - for free.

Replay showed that Laryea's supposed flop was indeed a foul.

Can anyone confirm Laryea's suspension? Is Akron appealing?

Why would we appeal? I know the UCLA game is important for seeding, but it's better that he sits out now and resets the accumulation total rather than carrying on with four and having to sit out a MAC or NCAA Tournament game. Hopefully his sitting will also serve the purpose of deterring future yellow cards, especially those due to poor decision making. Don't get a couple stupid yellow cards earlier in the season and one unjust one at the end is irrelevant. Lesson learned?

We absolutely should appeal. It was an unjust referee decision.

We likely will lose the appeal anyway. But it is worth a try.

Laryea obviously must cut out the childish crap, like tripping someone from behind with under 10 minutes left and a 4-0 lead. This mess is ultimately on him.

Players can mature; see Victor Souto.

A top 4 seeding greatly increases our chances of a second star. Beating UCLA is essential to achieving that seeding.

It is my understanding is that the yellow card cannot be appealed, but the consequent suspension can be appealed.

Someone please correct me on that. Even for soccer, the NCAA rule book is pretty thick.

If we could appeal and have him play the UCLA game, then drop the appeal and allow him to serve the suspension against BG, that would be good. Then the yellow cards can reset for the tournaments.

To clear something up, Yellow cards do NOT "reset" persay in the NCAA. A player doesn't get another 5 until the next suspension. By NCAA rules, once 5 have been reached, the player sits out 1 game and then gets 3 until the next suspension.

12.11.2 Postseason Games. Caution accumulation will carry over into postseason
play, which includes conference tournaments and the NCAA tournament.
Players or coaches participating in postseason play will receive a onegame
suspension when a total of eight cautions have been accumulated.
Further, each three additional cautions shall result in additional one-game
suspensions. Moreover, if the total is reached in the final postseason game of
the season, the player(s), coach(es) or bench personnel shall not participate
in the first scheduled game(s) of the next season.

I believe you are correct that a YC cannot be appealed. https://www.ncaapublications.com/p-4320-2014-and-2015-soccer-rules.aspx
