zippy5 Posted December 14, 2015 Report Posted December 14, 2015 Yeah not to beat a dead horse but I don't even bother watching these let alone attending them. I mean if nothing's going on I'll watch online, but the days of planning around games are over. I like to support my alma mater but at the end of the day, I watch basketball for entertainment and this isn't entertaining. 4 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted December 14, 2015 Report Posted December 14, 2015 It was good seeing Kwan having a great game. KD indicated that he had been in the gym all week and it showed in this game. He made an effort to attack the basket and showed some nice moves in the paint. After making a couple of baskets in the paint, he then made 2 of 3 three pointers. He played with intensity. Not sure why it took him 8 games to realized we need him to attack the basket rather than stand behind the 3 line and take threes. Most importantly, no turnovers. I really enjoyed watching him play tonight and hope to see this type of play in the future. I'd like to see Reggie and Jake take a lesson from this. Occasionally putting the ball on the floor will pay dividends as the D won't always look to run at you at the 3 point line. 1 Quote
skip-zip Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I think the real issue here is just that Kwan's size could make him a better asset to us if he's closer to the basket. Period. Without debating on the number of opportunities that Jake and Reggie get to drive to the basket, or whether they are taking advantage of enough of them, I'm sure the coaches want them out there on the perimeter making some of those long shots to spread the defense. I don't think Kwan is best utilized if he's going to spend the majority of his time on the offensive end doing the same thing. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Kwan just needs to get to the basket once or twice to keep defenses honest. Having a guy as big as he is that can shoot the 3 is a great asset, but if that's the only thing he does it cripples the offense. Quote
