Punishing teams that got it done all year in favor of one that got hot for 3 days. It has always annoyed me that in theory a team could lose all it's regular season games as long as that team won all games in the tournament they are in the NCAA. In one bid leagues tournaments reward the deeper teams and that team that gets hot or just has a lucky draw of opponets. How about instead the NCAA field is expanded to 96 teams with 32 teams having a first round bye and get rid of the NIT? The regular season winner gets an automatic bid and if the regular season winner also wins the tournament they get a first round bye as an additional reward. 1 Quote
Zipgrad1990 Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Here is an article that mentions Akron and suggests only expanding to 72 teams: http://thecomeback.com/thestudentsection/basketball/its-time-for-a-72-team-ncaa-tournament-with-structural-reform.html Quote
GJGood Posted March 14, 2016 Author Report Posted March 14, 2016 Don't like the way this is going... Are they going to send us down the road two hours? If so, that would just be wrong. Quote

bUAkronG Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 not good. Zips are going to end up a 6 seed at the bottom of this last bracket. Quote

skip-zip Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Love the game. The Seeding is complete BULLSHIT. 1 Quote
LZIp Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Leave it to Zn.O to be a bunch of crybabies over getting to knock off a big in state opponent. I agree with Sportsjunkie. Time to put up or shut up 1 Quote
bUAkronG Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I'm not happy about the seeding. Time to go down and wax the floor with them. Quote
LZIp Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 When is the last time a MAC team has beaten OSU? Also, we have a chance to singlehandedly prevent OSU from getting 21 wins this season. That would take our famous little stat down to 4 teams. 2 Quote

ace Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I love the fact that we get to play them. I hate the lack of respect that comes with that ridiculous seeding. 1 Quote

Sportsjunkie330 Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Why should Akron be hosting the game? Seriously Quote
zippy5 Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Let's do it. Not that I'd take an NIT run over even just a first round loss, but this is an opportunity for a nice consolation. Quote
Valpo Zip Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 Those of you whining about the lack of respect...It is time to earn it. If you think that OSU is too scared to play us and won't schedule us, we here is your chance. Put up or shut up. Quote
