Blue & Gold
Aurora LB Bubba Arslanian was also named 1st-Team D. I'm really hoping we get a verbal from him. He's simply a wrecking ball and I've seen where he's wrestling in the 220 lb. weight class now. Not that he weighs 220, but he wouldn't weigh much less.

I also really want to land Arslanian. I'm calling him the Waterboy. He plays just like Bobby Boucher did in the classic 90s football movie. With his wrestling background, maybe we can get some "power bombs, compliments of Captain Insano."

Great point. Probably because he doesn't look like a D1 scholarship player. Too short and pudgy and too damn slow. He gets blown off the ball in the first running play. He isn't Cody Grice. Cody was nasty.

Plus Malik Townsend from Pittsburgh.... makes 21 recruits. I wonder which have either decommitted or are prefered walk-ons? I spent some time re-acquainting myself with some of the recruits. I forgot that Kidd is 6' 7" 320 lbs. The ABJ article said we want him for o-lone. Maybe we should reconsider that. Brimage visited MSU a month ago but show nothing about a change in his commitment. Let's hope he holds strong.
ZachTheZip
Those two from Oregon might not happen. Haven't heard anything, and it's impossible to confirm beyond their own tweets from way back then.

You can visit any school you want, all coach has to do is make a call, I won't talk bad about recruits, my opinion is he will stay strong, he is a D lineman without D lineman size for D1, I know we are not tier one but that is my only concern when looking at the recruits height, weight, speed is some concern me, big difference between high school & D1 & every inch & every bit of speed helps
94zipgrad
On the list Moris Lugo decommitted & on his Twitter he just sent out his Hudl to a bunch of coaches so I guess he is still looking Nick Johns is not a 2017, he was at Virginia & a Juco that will be at Akron this spring, he is a transfer i thought someone posted Corner's cousin a DE from McKinley also committed i guess the good news is we will know for sure Feb. 1st

Blue & Gold
^^You guys are talking past each other... Kidd from Garfield is 6-7, 330 Brimage from East is 6-2, 265 Brim is the one who's presently a bit undersized for D-1 DT. But he'll easily put on 20 pounds, maybe 25. As it stands now Brim's a bit of a tweener; too big for DE, too small for DT. But he's a player, so hopefully we'll find a place for him. I'm sure we will.
ZachTheZip
The main list has been updated. Hopefully I have everybody. I'm keeping Nick Johns on there as a JUCO recruit. He may be a transfer, but shouldn't have to sit out. I took off the Oregon kids. I'd be shocked at this point if they show up.

The mid-year enrollees we got last year counted against that recruiting class, so that makes sense.

Perhaps Bowden backed off. Most guys will not decommit unless they have somewhere else to go or are told to look around. This sounds kind of odd to me. Like I said, usually if they decommit they already have a school in mind. Still, since he hasn't chosen another school it is possible that Bowden pulled the offer. Not likely, but possible. I would think that anyone Toledo would want UA would also. Edited January 8, 2017 by Buckzip
